I am looking for some recommendations for a Mini-PC with a specific use-case in mind. The goal is to run an Intel Arc B50 Pro GPU under Proxmox with SR-IOV support as a home server.

This means, the system needs to fulfill the following criteria:

• Reasonably powerful CPU with 8+ cores
• Low idle power consumption (ideally ≤ 30W)
• UEFI must support Resizable BAR + Above 4G Decoding
• Full-length PCIe x16 slot (Gen 4 or newer preferred)
• Physical space for a dual-slot GPU (single-slot is also okay, since I can swap the GPU cooler)
• Good vendor track record for UEFI/BIOS updates
• Preferably ECC memory support

There are a few models I found that fit most points:

• Minisforum MS-02 Ultra
  • Fits most of the criteria, but pricey
  • ECC support only on highest-end model
  • Concern about long-term UEFI update cadence and vendor track record
• Intel NUC 13 Extreme
  • No ECC support
  • Generally strong UEFI/BIOS update track record
