Shrinky Dink problems
I am unable to get my printable shrinky dinks to lay flat after baking in oven and (attempting at) pressing them. Additionally, I have ordered semi-transparent yet they all come out opaque!
What I have tried, all baked on a parchment lined baking sheet in a gas oven:
Round 1: Package instructions: bake 330°F, wait 1-2 mins, press flat
Round 2: bake 330°F, wait until the unfurl (as best as they could get, ~4 mins), press with flat heavy object
Round 3: bake 350°F, wait 1-2 mins with parchment paper on top, press flat
Round 4-5: bake 300°F, wait until they unfurl (I waited a whopping 7 mins! Then 10 for round 5!), press flat
Round 6: bake 330°F, wait 1-2 mins, press flat as can get, put back in oven for 1 min, press flat again
Those pictured are the best I could get out of round 6!
Any ideas on how to get them flat will be greatly appreciated 🙏🏼 I'm about to go try out a heat gun to see if that ends up better
