Best Need for Speed (or equivalent) on Steam

Been feeling nostalgic for Underground 2, so I'm looking for a game with same feel.

Open world driving, races, a campaign with good progression, deep car customization, and an overall sense of being a character in first few Fast and Furious movies.

And preferrably no DLC, passes, micropayments, etc. I'm willing to pay $60, not $600.

Stripped and seasoned

Three rounds of treatment and seasoning, plus some elbow grease, and I think it looks great.

Besides a few nicks and pits, it looks almost new. This thing is older than I am! They really do last forever.

I can't wait to use it.

How do your different races vocally communicate when they physically cannot speak each others language?

That was a mouthful, appropriately for a post about that vital tool of civilization, language.

Fantasy or sci-fi, it is important for your characters to communicate, but that is not always physically possible. How do your worlds handle this?

Besides the obvious solution of writing. It has to be speaking, of some kind.

My pixies, who are eusocial sophont fae that live in massive colonies, are often employed as interpreters. They use their illusion magic to replicate sound and visual communication, in a manner similar to holograms or the general pop culture idea of illusion magic. Think Loki or The Owl House type magic.

It's believed pixies invented the Way of Illusion to conceal their hives and escape predators.
