The Witcher 3, Skyrim or Elden Ring as my first RPG?

I’ve been wanting to get into RPGs for a while, and since it’s summer and I finally have a lot of free time, I want to start a big game that I can really get invested in.
The three I’m considering are The Witcher 3, Elden Ring and Skyrim.
The thing is, I’ve never really played an RPG before, and I’ve definitely never played a Souls game, so I’m not sure which one would be the best starting point.
I enjoy open-world games, and I don’t mind spending 100+ hours on one game if it’s worth it. I also like a good story, but one that’s not confusing, but good gameplay is just as important to me.
Which one would you recommend for someone completely new to RPGs, and why?

Real Life Budget Simulator

I would like to play a game that simulates an average income or minimum wage income, bills, expenses, and rent so I can learn to budget better, stuff like that.

I want reccomendations for a medieval Japanese open world game

So i wanted to play ghost of Tsushima again but since my pc can't run it i was gonna play it on GeForce now, but it's not there, well what about assassin's creed shadows? Well its for premium users, rise of the ronin isnt there, gemini gives me the same recommendations that i dont want, nioh and sekiro and the games which i mentioned before , so please i want games with a good narrative, preferably samurai, and no not way of the samurai i already played them all of them, samurai or ninja games please, they have to be open world, set in feudal japan, no sekiro or nioh, smth like ghost of tsushima

DnD-esque Game

looking for a PC game that has a turn-based, dice-rolling system, either just my character or with a typical party, fun and not massive. and it should be lighthearted in a way that it has no world-saving stakes. I don’t need romance, voiced characters etc. just basically get a quest, finish that quest, get a reward and level my character/party to level 20 (or so).
a must have is at least a somewhat customisable character (m/f, race, class).

I absolutely love BG3, but sometimes I just wanna hop in, create some characters and go fighting and exploring without a chosen one, world saving massive storyline. I wish that game had a sandbox fight mode where you can pick some enemies and make a party with whatever level you please and just fight a bit without having to go through a massive story. Esoteric Ebb is fun so far but I dislike that I have to play as a male cleric.

I'm feeling nostalgic for Golden Axe. Anything similar I could check out?

For one, I like that old-fashioned style of fantasy. For another, I'm more into simpler games these days, over ones that require keeping track of 50 different stats and equipment items. What other slash-em-ups, either genuinely old but available on PC, or done in an old style, should I try?

Looking for turn-based indie games

I am looking for some indie turn-based rpgs to try out.

Something that’s closer to a 20-30 hour experience and offers interesting build/character variety.

I am open to tactics rpgs as well, but I would prefer to stay away from rogue-likes.

Can anyone give me $10-20 Switch 2 game recommendations? Stuck between FF7 Remake and Blue Prince, or something else entirely

Hey everyone! I’d like some recommendations for what game to start next! For context, my favourite games ever are BotW, Hollow Knight, Celeste, Outer Wilds, and Mario Galaxy. I also tend to love whatever Nintendo puts out, and am planning on getting Splatoon Raiders on launch. I also recently played Expedition 33 and loved it, so I’m trying to get more into RPGs, and I also finished Bananza and loved it.

I am considering getting either FF7 Remake, Blue Prince, or something else, or maybe starting OoT on NSO (although I don’t know whether I should wait for the remake).

FF7 because people have said that it’s similar to Expedition 33 (which I adored). I played the demo, and while the story hooked me a little, the combat is not something that I really enjoyed. Blue Prince caught my eye because of its massive praise, and since it’s being compared to Outer Wilds, one of my favourite games, I thought I should check it out.

My favourite genres are platforming, action-adventure, and puzzle games.

Can any of you recommend me some games?

Looking for some games which give me options on how to approach a problem

I love games that do this, provide you the tools and give you a problem and tell you to solve it

Better explained with an example it's stuff like

Dishonoured series, Prey, Hitman WoA, Baldur's Gate 3, Stoneshard.

Where you have build variety for the latter and options of approach for the former. (Baldur's Gate has both)

Im looking for games which provide this.

Any type of game works 2D, 3D whatever as long as it has a deep system that allows me to pull goofy stuff and gives me infinite ways to solve a problem.

Sorry if the explanation is a bit rough I don't know how to explain the idea of such a game well

Singleplayer focused in steam sale?

Hi

I am a bit lost in the steam sale as a gamer with a huge gap in the years. Basically I didn't play a lot in the past 10 years.

I am looking for games that are singleplayer focused and mostly chill light story driven games

From my favs I could list MassEffect, Heavy rain, expedition 33, final fantasy games, uncharted (can't think of more right now)

Important is that it's not too huge. I don't want too many RPG elements if they are needed for progress, don't care about optimization that much.

I was eyeing stuff like the ff7 remake or outer world tho the later might be a bit too huge for me right now(?)

But I was wondering what else there is, especially not AAA games that 'everyone' knows

Looking for A Fun Adventure Fantasy-Like Game

I am a casual gamer who enjoys adventure open world games that give the player the creativity to beat the storyline however they choose to. I love when games have magic, healing systems, different close and long ranged weapons. I also enjoy when they have different classes and character design elements.

After looking at the Echoes of Aincraid trailer and playing the demo... I realized that the SAO game series has once again given me false hope. Are there any other games that I should look into buying with similar yet elevated characteristics.

I liked Elden Ring, Baldurs Gate was also very enjoyable. What are some recent or fairly new games that I should check out?

Looking for Tudor Video Game Recommendations!

Hi all! I'm looking for video games featuring the Tudors for a project I'm working on. I've scoured the internet and found extremely few; any recommendations would be very helpful! I had to add the PC flair, but any platform, any genre, and any style of game is a welcome suggestion. Thank you in advance!

Does anyone have any good recommendations for Point & Click games on PC? Bonus points if they’re in the Steam sale!

As I get old I find myself gravitating towards more narrative-heavy games, and away from the fast lane action of multiplayer / intense games.

I used to love comfy rainy days spent with a big mug of coffee spent playing Point & Click games like Broken Sword, Gabriel Knight, Monkey Island, etc., however I’ll admit I haven’t been playing close enough attention over the last 20~ish years to have noticed any newer titles.

I recently played Jenny LeClue: Detectivù which I loved - it was certainly simple, but I loved the Autumnal / Scooby Do vibe of it.

Does anyone have any recommendations for the genre? Do people even play these types of games anymore?

A engineering game?

Hello.

I don’t really know how to explain this but I’m looking for a game for around 20$ that has vehicle simulation and the ability to make parts of the vehicle and then use it.

If you can find any that work on mac that would be wonderful however windows also works.
