Any recs for games with stories that you piece together yourself through exploring the environment rather than having it told to you? Ideally it’d be the main story but side stories you stumble on are fine too.

Souls games are probably the king of this (though sometimes they rely pretty heavily on item descriptions) and I’ve already played those.

Elder scrolls games have a decent amount of this too in the random dungeons scattered about.

I also adore Arkane games like Dishonored and Prey and they do this kind of thing pretty often too.
