8/15 McFarland Bridge Brigade & Protest

Saturday, August 15, we are protesting the ICE concentration camps in McFarland. GEO Group is one of two private companies running so-called detention centers for ICE.

Conditions in these camps are horrific nationwide. People are being held without basic medical care, clean water, or adequate food. Families are separated. Children are kept in overcrowded cages. This is not justice. This is cruelty, and it is happening with our tax dollars.

We are meeting at the McFarland Rite Aid at 8am for the bridge protest and at Ritchey Park at 9am for the protest at the ICE facility. Bring water, wear comfortable shoes, and leave your pets at home.

Our demands are simple. Shut down these facilities. End the contracts with private prison companies like GEO Group. Stop kidnapping our community members.

We will not look away. We will not stay silent.

6/25 hold violent cops accountable

Hold violent cops accountable ✊ Join us for a demonstration outside MPD at 10th St & G St in Modesto

📅 Thursday, June 25th

🕕 6-7pm

On June 20, MPD officer Solomon Foketi was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon, making criminal threats, false imprisonment and domestic violence. Also this month, Stanislaus Sheriffs killed a man in Waterford by placing him in a full body restraint during a mental health crisis.

Show up to say ENOUGH of the cop culture of violence. Violent police need to be held accountable.
