Losing half my body weight

Hi! First time posting anything like this so be gentle please <3

I’m looking to lose half my body weight (104kg-52kg). I gained a ton of weight after my asthma got worse and they put me on steroids a few years ago. Combined with a sedentary job my weight has ballooned.

So I want to lose 52kg, ideally as steady as possible but would like a realistic timeline. I’m trying to avoid loose skin (I know some is inevitable) as much as possible.

I’m really short (5ft) and I’ve heard recommendations for low cal diets but I worry about dropping too fast and getting frustrated with the lack of food.

So I’m looking for recommendations, should I go high protein? Walk more? Is it worth looking into a glp 1 or can I do this on my own?
