And Here's why....

As of today Gearbox gave this weapon an astounding 50% damage boost. Thanks

This gun has 2 different legendary effects....both are busted.

1st. This is mostly for bossing. If you hit it with an atlas tracker (which this gun always comes with) you get a 50% damage boost PER STACK. Max stacks is 5. So thanks for the extra 250% damage. So go up to a boss, hit it with a tracker, swap back ..... win

2nd and this is where Harlowe comes in. It cycles between DAEDALUS firing styles on reload. So not semi auto, burst, full auto. It does Pistol, AR, Sniper, SMG...and of course the best one SHOTGUN. So you just shoot the ground, Reload, wait till it gets to shotgun and then play the game.

So Harlowe in the Green skill tree has this skill called Critical Funding which refills her mags on Critical Hit. Harlowe also has Excited State when combined with Group Study and Nuclear Winter is 100% Crit Chance.

100% Crit Chance + Critical Funding = Never Reload

Never Reload = Never get out of Shotgun Mode.

Cherry on top this gun has a very high DPS at around 23k, Cam roll Jakobs, and Torgue Impacts for those pesky Crystal Enemies.

Edit: after reading a previous post Torgue Impact is best in slot.

Did I mention Group Study Increases fire rate and gun damage.

I just tested this with a typical Inifi-crit Harlowe build and this is what you get.

Have a great evening.

Still working on the build... work is getting in the way of my video game life but I wanted to explain quickly to those looking for a new way to play Rafa and are not in the know about why he's so good with the Mantra Shotgun by explaining skills one by one

Disclaimer: Words are important with skills. Mantra does "Melee Damage" and is not considered a "Melee Attack" Melee Damage good... Melee attack Bad.

If anything is wrong please let me know and I will edit later.

- Specialization Bear Arms allows Mantra to Double Dip into Gun Damage stats. Ex. 30% gun damage is also 15% Melee Damage which equals 45% soup damage when shooting a Mantra.

This is where Rafa Green Tree comes in...

- 5/5 Handshake Deal is 68% soup damage..nice

- Diamond Hands: As long as youre hitting a valid target its always at 20 stacks with this gun since it does both gun and Melee Damage at the same time which gives you a total of 300% soup damage.

- 1 point into Dial In. Doesn't really do anything but it opens up Saldar skill. This gives "Health Restoration" on Melee critical hits. Yes it does work with the Mantra. Health Restoration is like Leech on steroids. Regular leech has a delay, Restoration is instant. This is the only defensive skill Rafa needs to stay alive. So do you like aiming for critical hits...I dont.

- Buster Class Mod is only used for 1 thing... it comes with 1 point in the Awe skill which saves you a grand total of 25 skill points. When you shock an enemy all hits for 2 seconds become TRUE CRITS for 2 seconds. So if you use a siphon Watts4Dinner (its impossible to get consistent amp damage on rafa, trust me I tried) or spec into shock market which gives 40% bonus shock damage to splash weapons (yes Mantra does splash) spec into contamination Specialization you will shock all the time and will have 100% crit chance IN and OUTSIDE OF OVERDRIVE. 100% crit chance, gun that does Melee Damage, skill that instantly heals you on melee critical hits = never die.

- Singeria gives 210% soup damage when you hit a enemies with ordinance for 10 stacks. But if youre like me I want to be lazy so the skill....

- Insta-Fort Battle System for your Peace breaker cannon applies ordinance damage to the cannons. Basically its like the mantra...they dont turn into ordinance but they apply ordinance damage which does proc Singeria. I like to use this while mobbing and then switch to Bullet Buddy Delexe for bossing.

I think thats it for now....Have a great day.

So current status.... I have been in front of a computer screen for the past 5 hours. The more I go into this build the deeper in the rabbit hole I get.

So right now Im just trying to get more damage while keeping Rafa's immortality.... Spoiler Alert yall might get a "Saldar Skill is secretly OP" post very soon.

TLDR... Saldar + Awe + Mantra = Instant Life Leech.

Just trying to solve a problem. Right now I can get extremely high damage but under certain conditions. Im just scrounging through everything in the game to see if I can replicate it in normal gaming conditions.

Im tired...Goodnight

Im on a mission to prove that Rafa isnt a 1 trick pony with the dancer class mod.

Heres a sneak peak but this build is going to have so many synergies its gonna take awhile to get everything in order....

And yes...I had to use a save editor bc I hate farming bloomreaper. This build is for science..

u/5eanX2 — 17 days ago

Just in case people where curious about what's the absolute maximum amount of heath Vex could get with a 10/5 Bloodshot build.

u/5eanX2 — 18 days ago

Lol

All kidding aside just wanted to show people the sky isnt falling. Rafa isnt a 1 trick pony.

u/5eanX2 — 18 days ago

Disclaimer: This post is for newbies and those who want to get the most out of Vex. If you're a vet and already know this then feel free to chime in but this information isnt for you.

So first off what makes this skill OP. Its a skill you get at the top of the skill tree from the very beginning. Gearbox please keep putting amazing skills at the top of skill tree.. My Moze really enjoyed Fire in the Skagg Den.

Now is this skill as powerful as FitSD....hell no. But unlike FINTD you only need 1 point in guns and Needles to feel its true power. And its true power is unlocked with the skill Mortal Terror. Shocker right?

Mortal Terror gives you a 5% chance to activate kill skills on crit. With a weapon that shoots a ton of projectiles fast its procs all the time. So Guns and Needles is a kill skill but what some people dont know is that Guns and Needles can cool down...AS ITS BEING USED.

So you pop a rep kit, get a bunch of Mortal Terror procs and actual kills....its run out. Guess what.... the rep kits is instantly off cooldown and ready to be used again. So Guns and Needles + Mortal Terror = 100% rep kit uptime.... FOR 1 SINGLE POINT.

That why this skill is OP. Imagine mobbing with Shiny War Paint with all that fire rate and movement speed 100% of the time. Imagine in the future if Gearbox in an update makes a BIS rep kit that could be used 100% of the time. We can only hope.

Yall have a great day.

*Disclaimer: I dont make these posts to educate everyone. I make these posts to educate people who are new to the game or dont go into the weeds of the fine details on whats really going on. So please dont be negative talking about "this thing is better" or try to make it a competition. I truely dont care. Im just trying to help people.

https://youtu.be/80fb5v7s8zM?si=1BYYjZkwvNYmM65a

This video got me interested in this skill so watch it.

So on the surface this skill looks good but not OP....but it does alot more than what is says

  1. Its not 25% Crit Damage...its 125% Crit Damage

  2. If you actually hit a weakspot with a Hot Streak hit its not 125% crit damage.... its 250% crit damage.

  3. This skill STACKS. The crit damage doesnt stack but you can store up to 20 auto crits. Best way to do this is ....

- Alchemy skill with elemental grenades.

- Shooting the ground with a hot slugger using the Late Scratch skill. Everytime you reload you get a fortune stacks, every fortune stacks gives you a stack of Hot Streak.

If you like to use action skills you'll burn through hot streak stacks fast but if youre like me I just build up hot streak stacks and go through an entire level auto critting everything with a Hot slugger. Further stacks are only used if you deal damage... so you can miss and not consume stacks. However if youre at Max Fortune stacks you'll need to enter Windfall or find a way to lose fortune bc your Hot streak stacks will start to fall once you max out Fortune.

A synergy I like to use with this skill is Hot Slugger, Sequencer Jakobs Enchantment which gives 5% BONUS DAMAGE up to 8 stacks for consecutive crit hits, Anti Up skill which gives you a ton of Gun damage the lower your mag size is and the higher your fortune stacks are, and the gamer class mod which gives you a guaranteed bleed on crit.

Hope this helps....have a great rest of your weekend.

Sunspot Vex Bleed Build Guide

2 previous posts about this weapon

- Leeching Attunement 5/5

- Bloodletter 5/5

- Material Components 5/5

- Ars Arcana 5/5

- Bloodshot 1/5

- Essence Leech 5/5

- Blood is Power 3/3

Blue

- Cold Iron 5/5

-Portents of Suffering 5/5

-Grave Fiends 5/5

- Prismatic Weaponry 5/5

Red

Enchantment 5/5

Blood is Magic/ Grave Sustinance... Find a good balance for you with the 6 points remaining.

Specialization: Riddle, Best Defense, Contamination, I am a Gun.

Mobbing: No need for charged shots...you'll do millions of Bleed damage with tapping crit shots.

Bossing: Hit Geistwave, throw a crit knife, pop a rep kits, charge your shot, win.

Damage is RNG based. You'll get 50% chance to roll a bleed proc for 20 stacks. It can go from 50 million to 100 million is its a lucky roll. Contamination helps for mobbing.

Will continue to tinker with the build but this is my favorite version as of now.

Edit: Reason why you want 1 point in Bloodshot...not for damage. It converts the bonus damage of Prismatic Weaponry to kinetic and applies skill damage to the main hit. 1 point is all you need

TLDR: Sunspot mechanics makes it one if the best bleed weapons if not the best bleed weapons in the game.

https://www.reddit.com/r/Borderlands4/s/b2kzBqwktL

I think its safe to assume its passed.

Weapon: Sunspot w. Daeldalus Shorgun and Torgue Impact

Class Mod: Purple Psion with +5 Bloodletter (rolls to look for is Kinetic damage, gun damagen damage dealt)

Shield: W4D w 150% Amp

Enchantment: Torgue Headringer but Order Power shot will do good too.

Amp: Triple Bypass 200% Amp

Ordinance: Random one with firmware but crit knife would be BIS.

Firmware: 3 Deadeye, 2 High Caliber

Specialization: Riddle, Best Defense, Contamination, I am a Gun.

Skills: No kill skills. Just getting skill and bonus damage where I can find it.

Action skill: Incarnate

And here's why.....

This gun is seriously slept on.

- First its special trait. Does the most amount of damage when its mag is FULL. And when I mean damage I mean 7 times its card damage. So the first bullet of this gun doesnt do 5,261... its 36,827.

- "But 5ean, once you shoot once then it gets weaker."

Good thing its an Order weapon that can be charged up and unload all its ammunition at once making its downsides pointless.

Lets keep going

- So what playstyle benefits most from the weapon. Bloodletter Vex of course. It gonna hit hard and cause major bleed damage. And bloodletter can stack 20 times.

But wait...there's more

- What if I told you this weapon can roll Daedalus shotgun weapon parts which allows it when its fully charged to hit 24 times. 1 charge....all 20 stacks at once.

So let me paint a picture for you.

Card damage is 5,261 times 7.... Shotgun mod doubles the DPS..... fully charging it multiplies it by 6.... add a 150% Amp shield.....200% Amp rep kit.....let put 1 point into blood shot that adds around 1,700 flat damage to the card whenever you use a rep kit, Deadeye and High Caliber firmware..... 10/5 bloodletter what takes 60% of the gun damage as bleed which stacks 20 times.... not to mention all the bonus damage Vex has access to.

Are you getting the picture here

Have a great evening.

Still a work in progress

(Disclaimer): Before we begin the only mechanic this build abuses is the 7th Sense special trait. This build requires no action skills, no GtoG, No Anti up, and eventhough it does use the gamer Class Mod it does not use the crit bleed loop.

  1. GEAR:

-Gun: 7th Sense Pistol with Daedalus Shotgun Part

-Class Mod: Gamer... Preferred roll is +5 Tender Hearts. This gives a ton of soup damage.

- Shield Whatever...full Amp or Amp Syphon are BIS

- Enchantment: Jacobs with Piercer for the crit chance and Whatever else you want. I choose Sequencer.

- Rep Kit: Triple Bypass Amp.

- Ordinance. Whatever...

  1. Firmware:

3 Deadeye, 2 High Caliber

  1. Specialization: Whatever you want. I choose Riddle, Contamination, Best Defense, and Overkill bc I like explosions.

  2. How the build works.

- 7th Sense has amazing synergy with C4sh bc of its low magazine size and reload mechanic. TLDR... Hits create floating orbs that do a ton of damage on reload. Daedalus Shotgun = More Bullets = More Orbs = More Damage.

The only meta skill I take is "Can't Stop winning" only bc i want as much gun crit chance as possible to trigger Bleeds upfront and its another way to get into windfall. With my current set up I got 50% crit chance without the knife and once the loop gets going then you'll have 100% chance with hot streak. Name of the game is to generate fortune stacks fast, always stay in Windfall, do a ton of damage with tender hearts and Hot streak. Stopped caring about getting to max stacks of Fortune....just want to generate them fast.

Bullets, Orbs, Bleed = Lots of Damage. 1 point goes into hot hand to trigger alchemy without relying on grenades. Hit hard, Hit fast, keep the Hot streak crit train rolling.

Still working on it but Initial results are promising to say the least. First picture is damage after a reload and bleed procs stopped ticking... No windfall.

Also my new favorite C4sh Drip.

Edit. For some reason its not letting me upload a picture of thr damage from the dummy so just close your eyes and imagine a dummy on fire with 6,104,215 damage.
