N52 oil issues on track
Hey does anyone have experience with presentation oil starvation on track? My friend and I have blown 3 n52s in 12 months. First was a rod bolt backing out to which sucks but randomish. Second was sudden oil starvation that locked the engine so fast the wheels locked before the car came to a stop. No heat marks but 3 spun rod bearings and a bent crank. Oil cooler, extra half quart, no baffle. This was autocross on r888r. 2 weeks ago on track rod 5 exploded. Heat marks all over the big end and rod bearings 2, 4, and 6 all showed early signs of oil starvation. Ran an extra quart of oil, peak temps seen were 255, same r888r tires, and had installed a baffle.
What's the move at this point? 3 engines a year is annoying. I see track n52s all the time and never see them blow up, even on prepped, stripped, caged cars on slicks. I could add accusump but how much of a bandaid is that
