Hi everyone,

I have owned this 2014 Hypermotard 821 for about 7 years now. It has 22k miles on it, owned it since 7k miles.

The other day I was checking my tire pressures and I noticed my front tire has a big flat spot on the right side (if you are looking straight towards the front of the bike) and I was quite surprised.

I also noticed my bike wasn’t handling as well as it usually does. When I apply my front brake, it’s quite choppy, it feels as if the rotor might be slightly bent or something, but upon inspection the rotor looks fine.

I haven’t had any uneven wear issues before this tire. I usually run about 36psi in the front, I only ride this bike on the street.

The tire is a Pirelli Rosso 3

I am going to be replacing the tire in the next week or so

Has anyone else had issues like this? I’m wondering what might cause this flat spot?

My front suspension isn’t adjustable, so I’m limited on what I can do with that.
