The Cornell case exemplifies the horrors patriarchy has inflicted as long as it has existed. This patriarchy is now being turbocharged by Trump and his whole MAGA fascist regime. This is a fascist regime fighting to impose a culture of the degrading domination of women and of wanton violence, a kind of pornography of violence with an American chauvinist and male chauvinist thrust to it.

To subjugate women and erase LGBTQ+ people, Trump dismantled reproductive rights, threatened nationwide abortion bans, outlawed gender-affirming care, purged transgender people from public institutions, and reinstated oppressive norms as state policy.

“Fascism” is not a curse word. Fully imposed, it is a radically oppressive and repressive form of rule over the people of this country, with devastating impact on the people of the world. The rule of law is shredded. Civil and democratic rights are eliminated. Dissent is piece by piece criminalized. The truth is bludgeoned. Group after group demonized and targeted along a trajectory that leads to catastrophe.

Donald Trump, in conjunction with Israel, has launched a murderous, illegitimate, and illegal war against the sovereign country of Iran—openly aimed at regime change. This is an unprovoked war of aggression, the supreme war crime, and it must be stopped now.

This war has nothing to do with “liberating the Iranian people.” That is a lie already soaked in blood. U.S. bombs have killed civilians, including dozens of young women and girls when a school was hit in the city of Minab. Trump himself has explicitly called for regime change.

This war is a gangster imperialist move by a fascist regime, seeking to tighten its grip over the Middle East and strengthen its position against rival imperialist powers. The lives of millions are being treated as expendable in a high-stakes struggle for global domination.

This U.S.–Israeli assault threatens the lives of Iran’s over 90 million people and dramatically heightens the danger of a much wider war—one that could draw in other imperialist powers and, through the deadly “logic” of escalation, lead toward an all-out nuclear catastrophe.

We cannot allow a fascist madman to keep his finger on the nuclear trigger for another day.

Let’s be clear: The repressive regime in Iran should not be supported. It is a reactionary, theocratic, and viciously patriarchal state that has brutally oppressed the Iranian people.

But fascists are not liberators. Trump—himself heading a patriarchal Christian fascist regime—does not care about the people of Iran or the Middle East. He is acting in what he perceives to be the interests of U.S. empire and fully expects domination if the U.S. prevails.

This war also serves another purpose: it provides Trump with a pretext to escalate repression at home, crush dissent, shred law, and consolidate even greater powers for his fascist regime. This is how fascism rules—through terror abroad, repression at home, and the demand that people fall in line or be crushed.

The silence and passivity with which such outrages are being met inside this country must END. Fascism does not advance only through brutality from above—it advances through normalization and accommodation below. Waiting, adjusting, or hoping that institutions—or those who tell us to “vote and wait”—will restrain this regime is a deadly illusion.

Fascism is not a looming threat. It is upon us now.

Humanity’s only hope lies in the decent people of this country rising together—nonviolently, but with determination and unshakeable resolve—to drive the Trump fascist regime from power.

NOW is the time to meet this grave escalation together in the streets in massive nonviolent protest and resistance.

The danger we face is not only what the regime is doing. It is the millions who oppose Trump adjusting to, and being conditioned to, adapt to each new outrage. To tell themselves that the midterms or someone else will stop this. To learn to live with what they once swore they would never accept.

26-year-old Joan Sebastian Guerrero was murdered by ICE in front of his 3-year-old daughter.

June 14 is Trump's birthday. Last year he tried a military parade, which didn't go too well. We are now another year into this rapidly consolidating fascism. We are being told to vote really hard this November. Trump wants to do some sort of entertainment event, probably staring a certain negative talent individual. Decent people all over will be watching something different:

June 14: Rise Up, Sing Out A Concert for the First Amendment. An Evening to Build Community.

This will be a powerful concert with some top talent taking on this regime through song. There will be watch parties all over the country, including many places in Seattle. Refuse Fascism Seattle is joining with Capitol Hill Pride and others to host a watch party at Cal Anderson Park. We are not only hosting a watch party. In the spirit of modeling what needs to be done on a massive scale this watch party will be preceded by protest rally and local music.

In collaboration with Capitol Hill Pride we are planning a full day of resistance in Cal Anderson Park: Some things you can join in on (with times): 12-1 Protest rally with speakers 1-2 March in Capitol Hill 2-4 Hang out in the Park with us-- converse about what we need to do to stop the Trump/Vance fascist onslaught-- and also have fun hang out and join in some music. 4:30 Rise Up Sing Out-- watch party in the Park.

NO! We must organize and struggle as we never have before. We must not allow ourselves to be divided and conquered. We must unite all who can be united from many different viewpoints and perspectives, to foster and draw on a collective spirit of courage and righteous fury and willingness to make the necessary sacrifices, for the greater good of defeating this fascism. We in our millions are a force powerful enough to defeat Trump/MAGA f*scism.

This force can defeat this regime with millions of decent people rising in sustained, nonviolent resistance so powerful we create a political crisis that makes this regime unable to govern or hold power. This is possible.

Recently, in the Louisiana v Callais et al case, the Fascist Supreme Court’s ruling effectively gutted Section 2 of the Voting Rights Act of 1965. Section 2 made voter discrimination by race and other identities illegal. As a result, several red states are already redistricting for the mid-term elections. It’s been calculated that the GOP will gain 10-12 seats in the House as a result of this rigging (accounting for Democratic redistricting gains in California, Utah).

Protests led by Justin Pearson (Black Democratic Representative, Tennessee), the 'All Roads Lead to the South' protest and other protests in response to this bullshit ruling remind us that millions in this country hate this and do not want to live with a New Jim Crow 2.0!

We need to mobilize them under the just demand: “TRUMP MUST GO NOW!” to drive out the white supremacists in the White House and the whole Trump fascist regime.

This Sunday we will march in solidarity-- bringing the way to end this madness to the forefront-- mass nonviolent protest that doesn't stop until the regime falls. Our mission Sunday will be mass outreach about these issues.  

We will follow the protest with a semi-informal get together in the park to get to know each other and dig deeper into these issues.

The Nakba, meaning "catastrophe" in Arabic, was 1948 atrocity against Palestinians conducted by Israel and the US. The ethnic cleansing of 800,000 Palestinians, destruction of hundreds of villages, and the loss of their homeland.
