I am devastated

I’ve experienced blood and the copious amounts of sweat…and now the tears.

I’m new to gardening in general. This was my first rose bush. I have another one more out in the open that the deer always nibble (never are every GD flower/bud) at but they leave this one alone at they used to. I put up chairs around it at night and that seems to have solved the nibbles.

She’s a Fun in the Sun and now I don’t know what to do. Help?!

Icing on the cake is that she had three large buds about bloom on top and he chomped them all off, right before we have 70+ people at our house this weekend for a bbq. I was so exited that my roses were going to be showing off!

What I have done so far: watered with morbloom in a panicked, teary rage.

I thought I bought a climber? ID help!

I bought this Weeks rose half off ($25!) and the tag, which I stupidly lost, I’m positive said CL (or some initial or letter) and a name. It was also identified it as a climber lower and smaller on the tag. (I pulled over before check out to double check.)

All of that to say, is this really a climber? My neighbor thinks it isn’t but I am still so new to this! This is the second rose I’ve bought. I will say, even if it isn’t a climber, it is absolutely gorgeous and I LOVE it.

I would like to get little signs at some point so any guesses on an ID would be great!

Queer inclusive youth happenings?!

Hi! I am a mom of a really awesome 12 year old, non-binary kid who has me all to themself this week! Their little sister is at sleep-away camp, (they go next week) and we are looking for cool stuff to do. They are into anime, thrifting, drawing, and “emo stuff” as they say. (lol, I was one of the pioneers of ‘emo’ in 2003 🙄) I can drive wherever the fun takes us, but we are in the Glenview area and very familiar with Evanston. Thanks in advance!
