Does anyone around here grow spicy peppers or tomatoes indoors? I just set up a tent to house cannabis mothers for cloning and was thinking it'd be nice to have year-around fresh peppers and tomatoes. Just wondering if anyone has any experience or insight to share

We have a line of about 12 tomato plants spread across maybe twenty feet in our yard. For the past three or so weeks, every few days we've been waking up to 2-4 of our tomato plants uprooted and signs of digging around the plants. A few nights ago, our car was outside late and had a spat with a raccoon, who we suspect might be the culprit. Is he smelling the fertilizer we used and looking for food? Anyone had similar experience? Any recommendations? We've tried applying cayenne around the plants, which works for a few nights but seems to fade after about 3. We've also piled sticks around the base of the plants to deter digging, to moderate effect
