My bad experience with Plur and long lasting after effects
Sorry if this is a long read. Buckle in if you’re interested or skip it if not.
The experience:
I dosed 75 mg 4 hours after a meal. The first 30 minutes I was playing a game but decided to lay down with some music and get cozy once it started creeping up. Around 45-50 minutes I felt very euphoric and the stereotypical mdma buzz with the music enhancing it and whatnot. At 1hr I figured I must’ve fully came up at this point and I was excited I skipped the come up horror stories like I seen in this sub. I feel like I need to poop so I sit down on the toilet and scroll through my phone.
A few minutes in nothing came out but I’m just vibing and scrolling my phone then suddenly I’m smacked in the face with a very disorienting and heavy feeling and the room gets wavy. I thought to myself okay here it really begins but no big deal im not freaking out at this point. My heart rate steadily increases and gets harder and harder probably the hardest it has ever beat. My brain feels like it’s rattling. As I get up to walk back to my bed I’m blinking so fast my eyes are basically fluttering as well as shifting side by side so fast everything is blurry. I turn on some music and decide to just remain calm and ride out the come up but it steadily gets more intense. I’m beginning to feel what I can only describe as a continuous brain zap like the kind you get withdrawing from ssris but continuous. I try to change the music because it’s getting too intense but I can’t even see my phone screen I’m practically blinded by the blurriness of my vision.
I can go into more detail but to cut it short the rest of the experience was purely negative and if I wasn’t so informed from lurking in this sub that I wouldn’t die I would have 100% have called an ambulance.
The after effects first few days:
Typical mdma comedown but much more anxious and my vision is still blurry. I had something to do on day 3 but I cancelled because I wasn’t comfortable driving with blurry vision.
4 days- 3 weeks:
-Tingles and sweatiness in my hands and feet
-intense waves of nausea that come and go
-very sensitive to caffeine it almost brings back the amphetamine background feeling from the roll
-intense anhedonia, depression, and confusion
-feel cognitively slower like my IQ dropped 30 points.
-Conversations are very difficult and I find myself constantly searching for common words to piece a sentence together
-tearing up randomly and during conversations
-i got lost a few times while driving to familiar places and used gps to navigate
By week 4 i started to feel sharper and the physical after effects subsided. At this point im 95% back to baseline but still feel vaguely different and mentally slower.
1/10 never again. This experience has basically led me to decide not to experiment with drugs again. I had my fun when I was younger but I don’t want to go through something like this again. If you’re reading this and considering trying 5mapb my advice is just stick to the classics or things you’re already familiar with.
