Hi all, I recently inherited about 30 netsuke from my grandfather who was an antique collector. I’m doing some research of my own and digging into the myths they depict, can anybody give me further info here into period, artist, design trademarks, value? They seem to be legit ivory, contain the proper himotoshi, and bear what appears to be artist signature. They’re really beautiful.

Hi all, my grandfather recently passed and I inherited two netsuke sets. He was a collector of antiques though not extremely discerning in quality or authenticity. I haven’t received them yet but have some photos. They appear to have signatures/maker’s markings, ivory composition, and thread holes.

I’ve been doing some research but am curious if anyone can tell me about them: the myth they depict (Oguri Hangan), their era, and value.
