Risk appetite :- Moderate

Monthly SIP :- 20k with a 5k step up each year (step up amount is not confirmed)

Salary :- freelancing work, so it ranges from 70k - 1.2L pm, but with my day job I’m capable of adding 20k more, but currently I have some commitments.

Once my sip increases, should I start to invest in more funds or are these 4 enough ?

Investment horizon:- minimum 12 years.

Guys, I need some Preparation advice on CAT and GMAT

So, first let me list my profile
23M, 10th - 79.6%, 12th - 86.4%, UG - 7.06 b.tech in tier 1 uni.
I’ve got 2 internships and have been running an Airbnb side gig independently racking over 10 LPA.

So, I’m starting my first corporate job on September 1st at Colliers. It’s an entry level MIS job. (Planning to only do this for 1 year)

I’m also starting my CAT prep alongside on the weekends.

My Goals are IIM A,B or ISB pgpyl programs. (2027 exam, 2028 intake)

So, what I’ve been advised by some coaching centres is, start your CAT prep first, and around May 2027, dedicate 2-3 months for GMAT.

My issue is I don’t understand how to do it, and I’m in a dilemma to whether quit CAT prep and focus fully on GMAT from next month for 10 months. (This way, ISB’s PGPYL will net my only possibility)

I had some seniors and blogposts tell me that CAT is tougher than GMAT.

The reasons for GMAT is,
Pros:-

  1. From what I’ve heard, it’s easier (comparatively)
  2. Multiple exams per year.
  3. Cons:-

The reasons for CAT is,
Pros:-

  1. You’ve got 3 options if you crack it
  2. Cons:-

2

Also, the reason why I’m taking the difficulty of the exams into consideration is because, as you can see from my profile, I’m pretty average in studies. So, i should aim for what I can and not try to overwhelm myself.

So, I laid out these issues to my coaching staff and they told me to start with CAT prep and do GMAT for 2-3 in the mid of next year to see where you stand.

So, what I’m looking for from this post is, whether this plan can be done, if it’s a good plan, or should I just focus on GMAT / CAT fully.

ISB PGP Profile Evaluation- ik it’s going to be tough for me

But, I want to know where I stand.

M22, 10th-79.8%, 12th- 86.7%
SRMIST, CGPA- 7.06

Internships- 2 (1 core based, 1 finance based)
Searching for a management role job, which I’m confident I can get through connections. A job where i can contribute well to the company and grow myself too.

I also manage a Airbnb rental property independently on the side, and have been doing that for over 1.5 years now. It generates good profits.

And maybe what are my chances if i start a startup in 1 year.

And how much should be score in gmat be ? 720+ ?

And, I’m planning to join only after 3-4 years of work experience
