Looking for some insight from the folks familiar with conditions in late September. Thinking about taking a trip to Idaho due to convenient flights and good deals.

Thinking Borah on the weekend of the 18th of September. Whats the snow cover this time of year usually? Expect to need spikes? Next to nothing?

I hike a lot so not worried about the ridge, elevation, or ascent. What are some backup options if that fails that people like? Heard Sawtooth lake is pretty cool as well.

Any other things I should do/check out?
