Has anyone done this run?

Just wondering what the surface is like, and thus what shoes to wear. The website says 80% paved - is that full tarmac paving or ‘canal towpath’ mixed surface type of paved? If it’s dry, would pure road race shoes be suitable?

It’s very flat which is fine, but is the route interesting / pretty / nice?

Would you recommend it?
