wonder why I've never seen discussion of Indian generics for HRT

Just a discussion post really. I'm not encouraging anybody to get HRT from online markets/other unsafe practices - this is just pure curiosity.

I'm aware that, yes, you do have to have to be careful while buying things online that haven't been vetted. However, having had to buy other medications online, I've had no problem, having exercised caution, and it's made it possible for me to have deal with stuff I would have never otherwise been able to (I love the NHS).
From what I've seen, general online pharmacies seem to be about the same price as other HRT sources, but on Indian market websites, I've seen vials of both T and E going for less than £10. Importing T from abroad obviously has a legal risk, so I wouldn't consider it, but I do wonder whether people would benefit from buying estradiol generics, given it could be about 1/3 of the price (having accounted for shipping).
Given that HRT is very cheap to actually produce, and how much cheaper medications are in India, I can't imagine that there would be an actual health risk from these products, since it's not like it would be laced. At most, would it not just be underdosed or something? In which case, the worst possible outcomes are either being scammed, or receiving an underdosed vial.
Despite all this, it's not something I've heard actually discussed in DIY spaces.
