Time on Vestide required for student housing

Can someone help me adjust my expectations on student housing?

I'm an international student (EU passport if that makes any difference) and I'm looking to study in higher ranking universities in the western Europe. I've registered on vestide in april 2025, and I'll start my bachelor's studies in 2026 (september); I did got 12 months free as added bonus on top of my existing time. So ~25 months of total time.

How likely am I to find housing? I've heard that short term is very hard to receive, and in lots of cases it's reserved only for master's. Is it likely that i won't face issues with, i assume, long term housing when I'll apply for housing in august (2026)? Or should i start considering other options outside NL?

Whats up with this CBL (challenge-based learning) thing at TU/e?

Can someone provide some information on your experience with this 'CBL' thing? There are 0 reddit posts on this, which makes it seem like a non-existent part of TU/e, but everywhere I look, TU/e published this like it's a core characteristic of the university? I have a few concerns with this:

- Are there issues with grading? Like maybe team members not willing to cooperate/work nicely; can it pull your GPA down?

-How does grading work, and is it affected by your team? Obviously it's mostly based on your performance, but how much influence does your team have over the grade you receive personally?

-Is it realistic to aim for exceptional grades, like a 9?
