Xbox rumble thru SC2 haptics is pretty lackluster… Is there rumble emulation to better imitate classic offset-mass rumble?

I’ve been playing Forza Horizon 4, and I noticed the rumble seems to be programmed for classic offset-mass rumble. Driving at a constant speed, rumble goes buzz/rest/buzz/rest… it’s clear that it’s designed for the offset masses to continue spinning and give a quick boost of momentum, saving some battery power in the process.

Are there any programs on SteamOS that can be run to intercept the Xbox-style rumble and translate it to a more consistent rumble pattern? The haptic motors are so good and provide such an exact output that they don’t seem to properly imitate how Xbox rumble actually feels..

I also saw something about outputting game volume to haptic motors..?

No clue on where to go from here, but eager for suggestions!

Turns out I like the Deck sticks better

Bigger fan of the Deck’s trapezoidal stick profile, rather than the full rounded profile of the stock sticks. Swapped with some ExtremeRate replacements, didn’t even know they made the capacitive spares. Went for the orange base for the flare.

Big issue for me has been the pressure the sticks put on my fingers when I push the sticks forward. The trapezoidal profile gives me a larger contact patch, which lowers the pressure on my thumb meat.

11/10 would do this again.
