Everytime toronto lingo is mentioned you have a person from the UK basically saying "this is all UK slang" or "they stole this from the UK".

I thought it was common knowledge that both these places share a lot of the same immigrated populations (carribeans, east and west africans, south asians & west asians). Bringing terms from their original homes.

I've never seen it the other way around, a toronto dude telling UK ppl their lingo is from toronto.
