I got this little guy a month ago and watered a little over two weeks ago. I was thinking it looked shriveled so I checked the soil and it’s not yet dry.

I’m didn’t want to disturb it with the bud and all but I checked the root for the first time. Still slightly damp but the roots seemed surprisingly small and underdeveloped.

Wanted to seek out thoughts on whether the pictures and my description is normal, or is there something wrong I need to take care of?

I assume I should air dry the roots before repotting. If the roots are indeed too small, perhaps I need to cut the bud or the little pups loose?
