Was so much fun to build, tbh I kinda don’t mind the pink as much as I thought I was going to. Bike feels so smooth and light surprisingly for such a heavy fat tire bike (50-60lbs) it’s so easy to get it going. Definitely a nice cruiser.

Plan to completly tear them apart, repair upgrade and customize them and then enjoy the crap out of them
So a month ago I bought a Mongoose Beast and instantly because obsessed with the look and feel of riding it. A day after I got it, I found a beat up beast frame and brought it home to restore for my wife. I know they are cheap bikes, and probably not worth me sinking money into them but I like the idea of customizing something and making it my own so I’m doing it. Fuck it! lol on my working bike I swapped to 26x3 stretched road tires for smoother rides, changed the rear sprocket to a 22T instead of the original 18 for easier pedaling and changed out the seat post and seat in favor of something more comfortable. For now that’s it, I’m building my wife’s frame now and I’m close to done just waiting on parts, everything’s gonna be new with the exception of the rims. She wanted the bike pink so I painted it and 2k cleared it. Here’s some before and after pics of both bikes.
Ps: I also bought 2 Phat Cycle beach cruisers that I’m going to redo too. Lol 🤷🏽♂️ hey I did say I was addicted
So I have a mongoose beast, it’s a fat tire single speed bike. I ordered the bottom bracket to replace worn bearings and I got a 110mm one but when I put it on the nut would sink in past the edge of the bb case as if it where to short. So I sent it back and ordered a 120mm and now the threads are sticking out past the edge as if it were to long. Am I doing something wrong?
