5 months on Reta

Started this journey on January 25th, 2026 at :

• 117 kg (258 lbs)
• 109 cm waist
• 118 cm hips

Today I’m at :

• 98.75 kg (217 lbs)
• 88 cm waist
• 99 cm hips

Total change so far :

-18.25 kg / -40 lbs
-21 cm waist
-19 cm hips

I started Retatrutide at a very low dose and slowly titrated up over time. (0,5mg twice a week)
I’m currently at 2.5 mg twice weekly (5 mg/week total)
I also had to pause Retatrutide for almost a month due to a cervical lipoma removal surgery, which temporarily slowed the process a bit. Fortunately, getting back on track afterward went smoothly.

I mainly focused on :

• eating better consistently
• training regularly
• sleeping properly
• staying patient
• and letting reta do its job over time.

One thing I learned quickly : Weight loss is NOT linear !

There were weeks where my weight barely moved and I thought I hit a plateau, especially around the 100 kg mark.
Meanwhile my waist was still shrinking and visually I was leaner.

A lot of it was probably :

• water retention
• inflammation from heavy workouts
• glycogen fluctuations
• slower digestion from reta

Then suddenly I’d wake up 1–2 kg lighter out of nowhere.
I also noticed that heavy back/leg sessions could make me retain water for several days, which made the scale pretty misleading at times.

My next goal is 90 kg, maybe 80-85kg, but honestly I’m not rushing it.
No deadline.
No pressure.

At this point the process feels surprisingly sustainable, which is something I never really experienced before with weight loss.

Hoping this can help people get started
