Did Reta make anyone else weirdly indifferent to food?

I’m not talking about just eating less. More like I can look at something I normally love, think “yeah that looks good,” and still have zero urge to go get it.

That part is way stranger to me than the scale moving.

Did that settle down for you over time or did it stay pretty consistent?

Years in the making....!

This number right here has been 17 years in the making. I'm 39 and have been chasing 185 since I was 22 years old when I gained a lot of weight when I started my career sitting at a desk all day. I got on the scale and almost lost it. From 240 to 185 pounds is huge, and I owe it all to Reta, diet and exercise. I've dieted before but never go close to this number that I've chased for so long. I am beyond happy I could 😭.

Currently at 2.5mg of Reta taking it WEEKLY. I started on Tirz, but switched to Reta once I began working out be able to hit protein goals. I've had almost zero side effects other than food aversion to McD French fries. I don't wanna smell them, see them or taste them now .

I only go up 0.5mg when I titrate up as my body and side effects seem fit. If I go a couple weeks and don't lose anything, I double check my calorie intake. If it's in check I go up 0.5mg. I feel the clinical trial schedule is too fast

EDIT, last one got locked again...asking for information on Reta, is this enough info? If not please pm me and tell me what you are looking for so it won't get taken down again

20 lb loss in 4 months

20 lb loss from April to August! 🥹

Starting weight: 172 lbs
Current weight: 151 lbs
Age: 25
Height: 5’5

I started at 0.5 mg weekly and worked my way up to 3.0 mg, which is where I’ve currently been since July.

For exercise, I do cardio (mostly incline walking) at least 4x/week and weight train at least 2x/week using dumbbells. I average around 7-10k steps a day, but I don’t really pay attention to my steps. I mostly just pay attention to my overall active calories burned each day.

Starting reta was very important to me because I have hypothyroidism and weight loss has always been a struggle for me, even when I was consistent with the gym and my diet. I also struggled a lot with constant food noise before starting reta, so having that quiet down, along with the decrease in inflammation and “puffiness” I used to have, has honestly been such a huge change for me.

I’m very happy with how things are going so far, and I’m currently focusing on body recomp, so I’m excited to see what’s next!

If you have any questions, please let me know! I’d be happy to answer.

Am I anywhere near the start of abs? Or is this just flatish?

I’m a 25yo F and mum. I went from 16st to 10st 9 (75lbs lost) and 5 of them being on reta which I just started.

My bf is a gym freak, shredded and all and he’s saying he can feel my abs even though their kinda weak & that i have the start definition BUT idk if he’s just trying to be nice to me

Be kind but be honest. Am I anywhere near? I train usually 5X a week but thats mostly running with a few upper body and leg days in

I miss the Anhedonia

Since going down slightly in dose, I’ve noticed the anhedonia is wearing off a bit as well. I prefer to live my life with the anhedonia.

3mg was the sweet spot for emotional numbness, now I’m down to 1.5mg. Any other peptides that’ll bring it back full bore?

I lost 100 pounds in 1 year with reta

SW: 224 lbs

CW: 124 lbs

Age: 21

I started at 1 weekly and slowly worked my way up to 7.

The food noise really disappeared, which was a big thing for me. I stopped overeating, especially when it came to things like ice cream.

I’ve been working out 3x a week and doing cardio as well. I usually do at least 30 minutes of incline walking on the treadmill every time I go to the gym. Getting 10k steps a day has also become much easier as I’ve been trying to make this an actual lifestyle change.

When I first started, I was honestly afraid that I wouldn’t be able to stick with it. I was worried it would just be one of those moments where I thought, “Okay, I want to lose weight,” and then eventually gave up.

But I’m still here, and I’m still maintaining the lifestyle I built.

If anybody is afraid to start or keeps doubting themselves, just take that first step. You don’t have to have everything figured out from the beginning.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask! I’ll be happy to share my experience and help if I can :)

210 → 145 since March. Reta did the heavy lifting, now tapering off

Started at 210 in March, sitting at 145 now. About 65 down in 6 months.

Honestly the biggest thing for me was not letting the appetite suppression starve me. I forced myself to eat around 1600 a day even when I didn't want food at all. Lifted almost every day and did long runs on the weekends, got to the point where 10Ks on Sunday are just a normal thing now. My watch has my VO2max climbing basically every month, cardio is night and day from where I started.

I stack a couple other peptides but let's be real, reta was the driver here.

Maxed at 5mg, just dropped to 4mg and planning to be fully off by December. Kinda nervous about coming off but I feel like the habits are locked in at this point.

Pics are March vs this week.

7 months

Starting weight 267
Current weight 180

Started at 2 mg a week for 4 weeks
Then 4 mg for 4 weeks
Then 6mg for 4 weeks
Now 8 mg and haven’t gone higher than that

I take fiber supplements and magnesium and daily vitamins as well, protein shakes twice a day and protein focused dinners like lots of chicken and veggies

lift weights at least once a day for 20-40 min
And get about 15k minimum steps a day for work

For skin I use lotion with retinol in it for stretch marks

All I can say is stick with it and trust the process

Happy to answer any questions here on this post

discomfort

So I am on week 3 of reta and recently upped my dose. I have had no problems with reta like this before and i only upped it by .3 going from 0.5-0.8. However I currently cannot stomach food and I have diarrhea. The stomach pain is pretty bad but not Unbearable. My heart rate and mental clarity is fine it’s just the stomach issues. I plan to lower my dose again next week since clearly my body cannot handle this one. But in the meantime is there any way i can make it better, like any medication or remedies?

My reta experience - 3,5 months

Hi!
I’ve been taking reta for about 3.5 months now, and I’ve gone from 88 kg (194 lbs) to 72 kg (159 lbs)

I started at 1 mg per week, split into two doses, and gradually increased the dose over time. I’m currently at 2 mg per week, also split into two doses.

I honestly haven’t had many side effects, but I’ve had some nausea and I experienced very heavy bleeding outside of my normal menstrual cycle. I’ve now had another period/cycle since then.

I do still feel hungry sometimes, but I get full very quickly and can’t eat nearly as much as I used to.
I’m really excited to see how I’ll look and feel in a few more months.

For those who have stopped taking reta, how did you stop? What has your experience been like after stopping? Did you become significantly hungrier once you stopped? And were you able to maintain your weight?
I’d really love to hear about other people’s experiences!

Before/After - 4 months on Reta

I'm a 29M (179cm/5,87ft)

1st photo : early April 2026 (85kg/187lbs) - Nike underwear - size M

2nd photo : early August 2026 (60kg/132lbs) - Nike underwear - size S

I started the peptide (Reta 10mg) with a dose of 0.5mg twice a week, then gradually increased it — adjusting by 0.5mg every two weeks until reaching a dosage of 2mg twice a week

I go to the gym 3-4 times a week without doing cardio - my diet is high-protein, including a daily shake with whey, creatine and collagen

Side effects experienced : fatigue, constipation and lowered libido — no issues with erections just a general drop in desire

I am currently tapering off the product since I’ve nearly reached my target leanness - To end the protocol, I’m reducing the dose by 0.5mg every two weeks until I stop taking it completely

My appetite is slowly returning to normal, though I’m maintaining strict control over my diet - the goal now is to finish this cutting phase so I can start a clean bulk and gain mass

One month journey

Today is my end of my first month. Extremely aggressive cut
I eat one protein heavy meal per day with a bunch of protein snacks, and a shit ton of water. I do weights training 4 days a week, and play a racket sport 2 hours, 3-4 times a week. Pretty active throughout the week. I’m not tracking shit, i just eat lean protein and water. Stopped eating junk and my cravings disappeared.
Went from 214 lb to 196 in a month.
As per the side effects, nothing to crazy for 1 mg. The first week i had a few headaches but water helped. I increased this week to 1.5mg and the constipation/bloating is insane lol, any recommendations?

Guidance requested: Powder stored at room temp, dry, dark conditions, two months

Hey all

The subject sorta says it all. I bought some reta, and due to a variety of reasons, I didn't reconstitute and get going. Now I'm ready to, and I'm curious if my two month old reta is doing okay.

The beginners guide says a year is fine. Everything else I look at online says days, maybe weeks.

Is my better bet just buying brand new, or does anyone think the reta I bought is salvageable?

Follow-Up: Fatigue on Reta

I posted last week about how I was on week 4 of 2.5mg (titrated up from .5mg over 3 months) and was feeling super sleepy throughout the week. Well, I dropped my dose 2 days ago back down to 1.5mg and I feel no difference in appetite suppression, but my energy is back. I'm not superman or anything, but I can definitely feel a difference.

Just wanted to follow up for anyone else in the same boat. I'm using Reta for maintenance and metabolic health right now, so it might not be the best idea if you're taking higher doses and needing to lose a lot of weight.

Mounjaro to Retatrutide

I was on 10mg Mounjaro and doing well. I moved over to Retatrutide hoping for better results. Started on 2 then moved up to 2.5mg. Food noise is very much back- has Mounjaro worked better for anyone? Is it worth sticking with it until I get a higher dose?
