Got gaslit by the "AI" in the sub name and avoided this place for a week before realizing.

Is it just me or does writing "AIAIAIAIAI-" kinda looks like someone laughing at me.

What exactly is the purpose of the snare? (Eq wise)

Snares are really cool and they always seem to really help out and fill your drums, but they confuse me when i try to add them.

Kicks and hi hats are easy, kicks take up low (maybe a lil high in the transient), hi hats are always high, but snares seem to kinda go all over the place?

Snares usually are mid high but they can have a peak in the mid lows and then fall off.

I find it partially confusing because drums usually dont take up mids and i feel like there are other important parts of a beat that needs those.
