Secret Lair site bugged for me and I may have accidentally bought a bunch of copies... What should I do?
PLEASE READ: It was not my intention to purchase multiple copies. I am not trying to scalp. I just want to know if others have had this experience and what I should do.
Hi all, I am in an awkward situation where I seemed to have been charged for multiple orders despite not thinking I was able to get even one.
Basically what happened was that when it was my turn to purchase, the out of stock notification came out and when I tried to purchase, it took me back to the main page after trying to hit purchase.
An error notification came in the top, but disappeared almost immediately so I couldn't make out what it said, but I assumed that it was the out of stock notice.
I heard that sometimes if you retry it, you can get lucky so I tried to purchase a few extra times but the same exact error happened so I thought I wasn't able to purchase any.
I later noticed I received an order confirmation email, which surprised me. I later looked at my card and came to multiple charges from Wizards for the secret lair.
I only have one order number and the quantity is 1, so I am not sure if I am about to receive 6 orders or 1 (and I am getting charged extra). I assume it will be just 1.
I'm wondering what the best course of action to take is. If I contact WotC, is there a chance they cancel my 1 confirmed order for multiple charges (and because technically, I ordered it after the out of stock notification)? If I only receive 1, then do I initiate a credit card dispute for the 5 other remaining purchases? But will that blacklist me from the Secret Lair store?
Never had this happen before so I'm a bit confused what to make of this situation.
If I do end up receiving the other 5, would love to ship out to others who couldn't for retail + shipping.
