Access to Smart Home technology
Currently renting and overall everything is fine, however the house has two features that you would normally have access to if you owned it.
Irrigation Controller & Solar System
The irrigation controller is “smart”, requiring an app to do achieve any functionality. Was a blackout and the system had reset the schedules, and the only way to reset was via the app, but only the owner has access.
Solar is the other one. Have no way of knowing the system’s status, performance, issues etc other than trust me bro.
RE make me feel like I’m taking the piss asking for access to the systems.
Question, should tenants have access to smart home technology that is permanently installed and is part the house?
