

45 Degree Snap or No Snap
Hello again. I'm currently developing a 2D puzzle-platformer. I'm currently in the process of deciding whether I want the game to lean more heavily toward the "platformer" or the "puzzle" part of the genre. To experiment, I made it so that the characters' dash snaps to a 45 degree angle. Comparing the "snap" to "no snap", I feel like one lends itself better to the puzzle aspect, since it allows the player to better predict their trajectory, while the other helps with more flexibility better platforming control.
What is everyone's opinions on this? Which sounds more interesting to you?
