Smolder, DFT, and everything nice
I just came back to the game, i didnt really leave or anything, ive been mindlessly playing aram mayhem for months now and I needed some stimulation, something to win for, so I figured I’d do my yearly ranked ladder climb early this year.
Im not the smolder player in this context, im OTP rakan so I see firsthand how this champion wreaks havoc during laning phase and especially late game. This champion is so disgustingly over tuned especially with the return of Deathfire Touch which by the way, brings me back to the season 6.
I wish I can run DFT on Ahri like the good old days but maaan the game is too fast paced for me now I can only play support roles. Im naturally a plat iv-iii player but now im currently half way to diamond which has been my goal for the last decade. This goal now seems reachable thanks to smolder players. When i get first pick I immediately give that spot to the adc so he can lock in smolder, do people just dont ban him?
I will literally glaze my smolder 24/7 to ensure he dominates later on, or so we have a chance against the 5/0 enemy top laner. Most of the time we dominate games, some games seem lost until my smolder gets a few picks, some team fights we really should have lost but with a competent smolder we make it work. Even the games we lose doesnt sting as much coz we fought hard.
Dont know how long this will last so im taking advantage of it right now, I’ll definitely reach D4, though D2-D1 is my real goal, i dont know if thats even possible, Ive been getting skill checked a few times in emerald with more meta supports. i’ll see if i can get there this split
