Any former Imagineers recognize this “Mickey’s Surprise Party” tape from 1992?

Disney history people, help me figure out what I bought.

This is an internal Walt Disney Imagineering tape called Mickey’s Surprise Party. It came with William Sims’ WDI Florida portfolio, and the paperwork inside has Imagineering VP Dick Sargon’s name on it.

My current, completely unproven theory is that “Mickey” could be WDI executive Mickey Steinberg and this was some kind of surprise-party or tribute video. It could also be something entirely different.

I don't think it's the 1930s short because of the runtime.

Does anyone recognize the title, the people involved, or this style of internal WDI tape? I’m especially curious whether anyone remembers an Imagineering event around early 1992.

Japanese Sold as Blanks

I have been on a mission to find a broadcast recording from every US state. But then my ADD kicked in and I wound up with this box of tapes from Japan...

Let's hope they have some interesting commercials!

22 minutes of 1989 WKRC Cincinnati commercials, rescued from a 5-hour tape

Everyone digitizes tapes for the recordings. I wanted the opposite, the commercials.

I got tired of scrubbing through five to six hours of tape clipping the ad breaks. So I built software that finds the commercials for me and cuts everything else.

Sample Output: https://youtu.be/vLCmeiwF9JU

I'm thinking about releasing it (free), but I'm not a developer and it's 100% jank and vibe coded. So not sure it would be worth the stress of trying to keep it useful for everyone.

Is this something people would actually be interested in?
