More Autocross Pictures

Just a picture dump of doing Autocross this past Sunday.

I’m getting an alignment done this Saturday, along with installing camber bolts. And then I’m ordering 265/35/18 200TW tires for my 18x9.5” wheels that I’ll use for track duty only…..Hoping I get good camber up front so everything fits nicely.

I’ve also been going back and forth what color to make these track wheels….I saw a post that asked about red wheels, and that got me thinking about it. But not sure I want to stray from satin black as it fits the theme and looks so damn good IMO

I might want to try something crazy as these will only be on the car for 2 days at a time lol.

First time Auto-X in the EN!

Well, with 1500 miles on the clock I took the EN to its first autocross. It’s been 7 years since I’ve attended one, but I felt right at home as soon as I made a run.

I have yet to drive this car hard, so it was a learning experience for me today. I have to say, this thing did amazing. The amount of grip up front was incredible! I had TCS off and I didn’t get the wheels to spin coming out of any of the corners, it just dug in and went.

I felt the back end rotate when I was hard on the brakes while the car wasn’t straight and that was pretty cool honestly lol.

I will be back to more events, this is such a fun car to do this with 😎

Dream Siphon Armrests

These things are pretty sick! I like the look and especially how it matches the door cards.

A very welcome addition indeed 😎 I did also get the cupholders and installed it, but didn’t take a picture lol. It looks like an OEM piece! I expected it to be that 3D printed texture, but it’s got the normal plastic texture you expect to see. I dig it

Got tinted

Just had my car tinted! I’ve never had a tinted car and never even thought about it lol. My Aunt tints every single one of her cars, and that gave me the inspiration for it.

I went with a ceramic 20% - I didn’t do the windshield. Since I’ve never had tint I didn’t want to screw up visibility at all while I’m actively driving. I do drive in the dark a lot, so I wasn’t willing to roll the dice lol.

The tint looks so good! It really matches the vibe of having dark accents everywhere. I’ll have to get better pictures when it’s nice out.

The only other cosmetic thing I want to do is my set of RF03RR wheels, but I still have to powder coat them and get tires for them 😂 Oh, and get an alignment with camber bolts so I can actually fit them.

Am I crazy?

Third wash in two weeks of owning this car….God I love this thing even more when it’s perfectly clean 😂

I’m even doing my due diligence of cleaning all the jambs every wash. Doing under the hood every third wash to keep that fresh as well.

I also plan on getting pressure washer attachments to do the undercarriage. It’s very nice for the northeastern area with the gross winters and salt we get.

Also the pink towel on the blue car is 👌🏼 I love the car more every day!!

It’s time to modify this thing!!!

I just did the order I’ve been waiting to place - all the go fast goodies required for a 310whp+ experience!! Whatever power I wind up with I will be plenty happy.

Gonna go to Cherry for tuning and ask for 21/22psi on 93 octane and let it eat!

I’m probably most excited for the trunk strap and the lower engine mount, because the wheel hop is atrocious on this car 😂 Reminds me of my old Saturn Ion Redline before we redid all the bushings.

I plan on installing everything at the end of September/Beginning of October. Making sure I’m good to go well in advance of that date. Now I just need to order the tune and get a laptop so I can play fast and the furious myself LOL

Obsessed

I got into automotive detailing heavily when I acquired my ND Miata in 2016, so in those 10 years I’ve learned a lot and have quite a few people who pay me to detail their cars.

So I am being EXTRA crazy about keeping this one clean 😂 Second bath in a week, I also did a full wipe down of all the jambs/gas cap/under the hood jambs.

The tire dressing used was Mckees 37 Sio2 tire shine. It gives what I like to call the perfect finish. It just enhances the richness of the rubber without being glossy or greasy looking.

I love that these don’t have any hard/textured plastic on the exterior - everything is finished in some sort of color and it makes my life so much easier.

Can’t wait to put more miles on it!

First wash!

I have an hour lunch break and decided to give her the first bath of many!! It rained the other day so it had some gunk on it.

I’m sweating profusely now because it’s gross outside and I was moving quick, but damn a clean car hits different.

Getting my new 2026 EN!

So this Saturday I’m picking up a 2026 Performance Blue Elantra N!

I’ve been researching these cars ALL year and it’s finally time I pulled the trigger. I’ve been keeping an eye on the market for pricing and where these cars are located, and NY isn’t exactly the best location. There were only a handful on Long Island and none of the dealers wanted to work with me on pricing, so I had to go out of state.

So I started shopping around and wound up calling 20+ different dealers trying to work a deal that I thought I could manage ($3000 off MSRP). It took some perseverance and roughly 3 days of back and forth with a few different sales peeps, but I finally locked one down!!

I got a PB 6 speed car for $37,840 out the door!! I really did my due diligence and didn’t settle for the first deal that I came across.

The car I’m actually purchasing on Saturday is a showroom car and the salesman had a cool idea that I could drive it out of the showroom myself 😎 This dealer has been nothing but great to work with and I’m so excited to finally get behind the wheel!

I already have all weather floor mats waiting to be installed, a suction cup phone mount, LED interior lights and a set of 18” x 9.5” wheels with 265/35/18 tires (to put on after an alignment). Planned for a few months down the road is a downpipe/HPFP/plugs/tune 🤘🏻 Just had to vent my excitement somewhere that other people share the same passion lol.
