Normal to feel rear wheel slide out around turns?

‘25 Kawasaki Eliminator (451)

I’m curious if I’m being too aggressive around turns. Couple weeks ago, turning off of a road onto a highway on-ramp, my rear wheel slid out a bit. Gave me a good chuckle, and I brushed it off as too much throttle. It was a tighter 90 so I believe I was going about 35.

But then I started paying attention to how my motorcycle responds while riding, and I noticed this seems to happen quite a bit. If I take a normal corner at 10-15, it seems fine. If I take it at 20, it seems fine but I’m definitely more “locked in.” If I take it at 25 or higher, I might notice some sway in my rear end, with it becoming more pronounced the faster I go.

I’ve also been noticing that when I lean my body more than the bike, the bike feels more stable but doesn’t turn as aggressively as when I give it a little more lean.

I am aware this bike is not designed for aggressive riding. I’m curious if what I’m experiencing is normal and I’m just pushing the thing too hard.
