My face when I’m splitting lanes and someone pulls over a little to give me space.

Wheel doesn’t spin freely after putting it back on

2018 Honda Cb300f. Got new tires. Front one spins freely. Rear one is super tough. To make matters worse, this is with the axle nut only half as torqued as it’s supposed to be.

How do I fix it? This is my first time ever doing this, so sorry for the “noob question,” but any help is appreciated.

Buying a bike 300 miles away and then driving it straight home, talk me out of it.

I want to fly out and buy a 1984 Honda V65 Sabre and then ride it back home that same day. I use to ride years ago but haven't since 2019. The bike is in excellent condition and the roads would be fairly flat until I pass through a little mountain range at the end. Am I just asking for murphy's law here or should I send it?

One of the coolest roads I’ve driven, Kelok 44 Sumatra Indonesia. What are some other hidden gems?

Kelok 44 means 44 turns

Where did the trend of hugging the center line start?

I've been riding for almost 30 years and just in the last 5 or 6 I've noticed a huge uptick in (almost exclusively) old boomers on bagger bikes intentionally riding right on the yellow line. I don't remember this being such a thing 10 or 15 years ago, but now almost every old guy on a Harley that I see out is glued to the center line. Where did this trend start and what's the logic behind it?

Edit: I'm well aware of the reasons why it is sometimes ideal to ride close to the center line, and I'm well aware of the inside tire track generally being the ideal cruising location. This post is specifically about guys cruising RIGHT on top of the center line for no apparent reason.

Lots of free time turns into cleaning duty

Figured I’d tackle this just to remind myself of what the black widow headers looked like before they got all caked with road grime. Started with a 360 pad and eventually switched to a 800 pad with some elbow grease to smooth everything over.

How would you remove this bolt?? Honda CB360T 1976

CB360T has an aftermarket MAC exhaust and the one side is installed with this huge headed bolt. How tf would you reach this? Hammer a socket onto it? Bend the tabs of the passenger peg mount outwards? Not even sure how they got it on there

EDIT: there is no nut on the other side... it threads into a welded tab/nut on the frame.

Built a toy bike for my daughter

I have to get her interested early. Even if she’s not even 2 yet.

I just completed the hardest challenge known to motorcyclists. Changed a sportbike tire by hand. AMA

Saved over $200 doing it this way. $300+ saved to do a rear.

Shops won't change tires if you don't buy them from the shop. They charge msrp and $100 to install.

I got frustrated and decided to just do it myself. It only took about an hour of actual work. But it was so frustrating that I took 2 doobie breaks.

Are quickshifters popular/important for riders?

Having only been on regular bikes, I recently test rode an XSR900 with quickshifter and Honda's new e-clutch system.

The e-clutch was interesting, I can see the appeal of not having to shift into neutral at the red light. However, whether the e-clutch or quickshifter felt a little awkward and low value add to me. As in, gear changes felt a bit rough (?).

Now I don't want to sound like an old fart and maybe I'm just not using the thing correctly but I just felt better using the clutch to manage a smoother gear change/control revs. And if anything I can always do clutchless upshift on my bike.

I can easily get behind automatic cars because you just hit gas or brake, and so I'd understand automatic bikes as well for the same reason (not for me but scooters are popular so there is a market). But quickshifters just save you from using the clutch?

I feel like I don't quite get why you would pay a few hundred $$ to add a quickshifter as an option like they do on certain bikes.

I don't mean to offend anyone, I genuinely feel like I missed that train.

Never U-turn normally if you can possibly help it.

Still not 100% there yet on my pivot turn but definitely starting to feel a little better.

Got t-boned by a F350

This was over a month ago but I completely forgot to post it in here. Was 100% my fault, came out at a blind corner and just didn’t react in time, truck’s only choice was to swerve going 55mph. Apparently, I flew about 50 ft but I don’t remember that! Was also airlifted, so really excited about that bill. Luckily, only had 2 broken bones (left femur & right arm) and some road rash on my neck. Probably would have less limbs if it weren’t for my full gear, but able to walk with a cane now! Be careful out there everyone! Been too many wrecks this season, look out for yourself & others!

Almost died today

I was sitting in a turn lane waiting to cross into a gas station, next thing im waking up with 5 people around me. Some lady in a Tahoe jumped curb and slammed into me while I was waiting. Launched me like 10 feet. Dont know if she was sober. But the cops seemed a lot more interested in her then me, which I think is a good sign. I wish I asked more question but I didnt really get my head together until I was in the ambulance.

Of all the way I though my first accident woukd go, this wasnt on my bingo card. Luckily I had gear on. Helmet saved my life.

Update: Doing ok, still in the er. Lots of brusing and swelling on my left side. CT and mire clean. My left leg is fractured just below the knee. But my chest spine and skull are ok.

I am going to talk talk to a lawyer. My wife gets legal support through her job, so ill call then when I get home.

Tha ks for the support guys.
