Are quickshifters popular/important for riders?

Having only been on regular bikes, I recently test rode an XSR900 with quickshifter and Honda's new e-clutch system.

The e-clutch was interesting, I can see the appeal of not having to shift into neutral at the red light. However, whether the e-clutch or quickshifter felt a little awkward and low value add to me. As in, gear changes felt a bit rough (?).

Now I don't want to sound like an old fart and maybe I'm just not using the thing correctly but I just felt better using the clutch to manage a smoother gear change/control revs. And if anything I can always do clutchless upshift on my bike.

I can easily get behind automatic cars because you just hit gas or brake, and so I'd understand automatic bikes as well for the same reason (not for me but scooters are popular so there is a market). But quickshifters just save you from using the clutch?

I feel like I don't quite get why you would pay a few hundred $$ to add a quickshifter as an option like they do on certain bikes.

I don't mean to offend anyone, I genuinely feel like I missed that train.

Quad lock induction charger finally installed

I finally finished installing the induction charger on the aux port (ignition positive). Such a great product and game changer for my old phone.

The hacky bit is hidden but it goes cleanly through the original cable management
