I WANT THIS BIKE HELP

I want it so bad, it would bring me much joy, the dealership is giving me an insanely good deal due to obvious reasons,

but I live in Ohio, my wife is extremely worried about it, and I have 2 kids

Help? Advice? Anything?

is the risk worth the fun?, am I selfish for doing it with kids?, is it worth it in Ohio(due to it being a seasonal hobby)?

First time not owning a Honda

Being delivered in morning, 2008 Ninja 250R with genuinely only 160 miles on the bike 😁😁😁

Honestly cannot wait, only ever had Honda nsr125, cb125f and cb500f… 18 year old bike and I’m still gonna be the one to brake engine in 👀😳

Hot weather Concern?

Brand new rider and just bought a new 2026 ninja 500 ABS (has 19 miles on it now) so proudly brought it to work for the first time. Parked it in the shade at the time but the sun shifts during working hours which makes any sun spot turn to shade and vice versa. Went out at lunch just to appreciate it and heard a whistle noise coming from the gas tank and could smell some gas odor. It’s 95° outside and it was in full sun (also all black fairings) so I figured it was hot and the gas was expanding as a normal thing; however, I was able to see a gas heat-shimmer coming from the bottom left side of the bike and noticed that there was a dark area on the asphalt (looked like a liquid puddle but not actually pooled). I know the gas tanks release when they’re hot but can someone tell me if it was normal to be able to see/smell the gas coming from the bottom of the bike and for there to be a wet-looking pool spot right under where the gas haze was? Also very paranoid since I’m not very well informed on bike parts and I know it’s new but I may have set it down on its right side before ever putting one mile on it 🙃 any insight is appreciated!!!

Green in the woods

Took the 1100 from the track to the woods. She's dirty as fuck now but performed admirably.

Incredibly good and versatile bike

Trying to understand HD culture.

So I'm in CT and I just returned to riding after a long layoff. Riding around town I see that most Harley riders have a disdain for protective clothing. That's a personal decision but I don't understand riding around town with a baseball cap, shorts and sneakers on a 750 lb bike that doesn't have agile emergency handling. I guess it must be a HD cultural thing. I've also noticed their unwillingness to wave back at non Harley bikers. I was giving the two fingers down sign as respect to all bikers but now when I spot a Harley I don't bother.

Motorcycle tire front

Well will it ride for next 2 months? About 1500 kilometers. End of the season is near and I'm not too much willing to replace it now but this white tread in the middle concerned me. Battlax from 2021. I'm new rider so I appreciate your comments

This OTD price looks a bit too much? Z900SE 2025

I live in Florida and was checking out some bikes and dealers. The only dealer who had one available was this with a heavy discounted price of 9,999$ for the 2025 model. I asked them for an OTD breakdown and this number looks crazy? It's a 40% increase on the said price. What's a good OTD price for it that I can negotiate for and skip the dealer if it crosses that number?

They said they cannot get rid of loan processing fees if I choose to finance it outside rather than going through their lenders. Which sounds absolutely insane to me. First time hearing that.

First Bike! - 16’ Ninja 300

Treated myself to this for my birthday two months ago and haven't looked back. Got the mods dialed in, and the ride is absolute perfection. Super smooth, plenty of power coming off a 125, and easily one of the best sport bikes to start with. Safe to say I’m never selling this one!

Installed Outback Mototek Crash Bars and an Amazon USB port.

Outback Mototek Crash Bars appear to be very solid and robust but also minimalist at the same time in my opinion.

When installing the Amazon USB port, the plastic bar clamp immediately broke when tightening it (very cheap plastic)... so I had to come up with an ugly solution of zip ties to one of the mirrors. I wired it directly to the battery since the USB port has an on/off switch so I don't have to worry about it draining the battery overnight. Seems solid and fast charges my phone. We will see how long it lasts haha.

RIP - miss my C14 :(

Bought this back in 2012.

2010 Neptune Blue. Been a great bike, did the valves clearances a few years back, no issues.

Was shopping in a local grocery store a few months back and a guy saw me in my gear and asked if it was my bike outside. I said yes, and he said I probably should go see it.

I did and saw a little old lady parked on it in a Nissan Murano. Backed right over it. To her credit, she waited. Broke tons of plastics and written off. Poor thing. :(

Now debating if I want to replace it or just stick with cars (I also own an older Porsche). I'll admit, freeing up the garage space is nice.

As a side, if anyone is interested in a Corbin Smuggler and solo seat, drop me a line. I took it off before it got taken away :(

Motul 7100 vs. Kawasaki Oil for a Ninja 400

First bike, making sure everything is well-oiled. I see these two recommendations. The Motul is about an extra $15 per oil change.

Does it really make a difference? Will Motul perform any better or last longer/provide better longevity for the motorcycle? Could use some experienced opinions.

ZX-4RR full exhaust

I’ve recently bought a Zx4rr and I am looking to allow it to get to its full potential, and I was wondering if anybody had any recommendations for a full exhaust setup that isn’t stupid loud(I like my neighbours) and doesn’t limit the bike. I will also be getting the bike tuned/flashed.

Lowest "safe" engine RPM for the ER6 / Ninja 650 / Versys 650 ?

Hi

I have a 1st gen ER6 since a few days, I really like this bike, with a lot of low-end torque, but I'm curious about how low in RPM I can ride it ?

I feel I can cruise, and accelerate smoothly (just a slight throttle) without the engine knocking at 2000-2500rpm for the 1st/2nd gear and 2500-3000rpm for the 3-6th (on flat road), but it is fine for the engine in the long-term ? I have a relaxed riding and try to avoid making too much noise in city, plus fuel economy, so I don't feel like cruising at 5000rpm...

Of course, if I feel that the engine is "unhappy" or force too much I drop a gear.

Thanks for your advices ;)
