Reddit has definitely helped with a jack stand question and newby question I had. So I present another newby question to the masses. I live the mid Atlantic area and we can get some hot summers or like this past week and flash of 90+ temp with the real feel being triple digits. I have had a genuine leather jacket that isn't rated but it is thick (possibly 2 cs). I'm looking to get a summer jacket that is breathable and hopefully have a CE AA rating on slide. So far being 2 months in I'm feeling comfortable with a lot of my riding ability but have had I couple of humbling moments... But the only part of the bike that has touched the ground is the tires and kickstand! My mother is willing to get me something because she worries about the what ifs and I want some cooling when it's super hot out? Cause this leather jacket protection will prevent me from riding if it's too hot. Any recommendations? Her budget is $200ish but I'm willing to pitch in extra if its white.

TLDR looking for a summer jacket with good protection and breathable budget $200ish will pay extra for white.

Hey guys,
I ride a 2025 zx4rr and have 13.000km on the clock and for the last 1500km i have heard this sound like above 3rd gear after letting go of the accelerator.
I also had it in for service 500km ago and went by the shop and showed them this and they told me everything was fine.
The bike feels normal like it always does but just this whining/ whistle sound has never noticed me.
Does anyone know what it is? Or is something wrong?

I’m sorry in advance, if this might not be the right place where to ask. Few days ago, while getting back home from a quick ride to the grocery shop, the clutch lever started to get lighter and lighter. Eventually after couple shifts, it became absolutely free without the returning kick given by the spring based on top of the clutch carter. Wonder if someone has any idea on how i could fix this (mechanic is super busy and won’t be able to take a look for a solid month). I’ll attach a video showing the actual issue.

1. the issue looks related to the springs, as the clutch didn’t have any problems, or weird sounds during the ride

2.motorcycle has 55.000 km, mostly on rode on highway on long trips

Got this bike about a month ago with a destroyed block and completely messed up fairings. Swapped the engine diagnosed clutch issues and now im left with an AWESOME bike and maybe $4k ish into it

I was riding today around the town doing about 30-35 MPH then i let go of the handlebar and i noticed it shaking/wobbling. The bike has 260mi in it. What could it be?

Hey everyone,
I was given an 08 ninja 500r recently without turn signals at the front. I bought some replacements, but when I go to plug them in, there’s just a socket with no plug. In my research I think they’re supposed to be a harness that goes into the socket for the bullet connectors? But I can’t find it anywhere online. Any ideas thoughts or help or alternate methods would be awesome.

Ask any questions, the carbs are leaking a bit of fuel when cranking for the first time after reinstalling them. I replaced the floats. When I removed the fuel filter it ran but jumped to high rpm, the video is of after I installed a new fuel filter. It seems to not be getting enough fuel? Is it the fuel pump? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Okay y’all, north Florida and I don’t pay high on used bikes. Trying to trade for this dressed out cop bike, but I only know Harley markets and scrap market. Runs and rides with some issues, 33k miles. What’s it worth? 1990 KZ1000 police

Recently replaced the stator, rectifier, and put in a new battery. Was running fine until she died on the freeway, kicked her into neutral and costed to the next exit, tried to bump before stopping fully, but still the sound, have no clue. Motor sounded like it either sputtered or like something blocked the intake for second. Pulled the tank to take a look but it looks good, sounds like it’s coming from just under the battery near the starter relay or the back of the engine block.

I just turned 25, 3 weeks ago, my ex left me a week before my birthday so I made an impulsive decision and finally bought a motorcycle after wanting one for years. It's a 2016 Ninja 300. Super exited to learn and share the road with other fellow bikers!

It's a 2012, I've put about 1k on it. I love it so far, its so well balanced. It's at 16k almost, how crucial is it that I get the valves done in the next 4k miles? It's got 2 or 3 year old 2000 mile oil, service manual says change every year. Is that overly conservative? Anyone had problems with the crash bar mounds stripping out the engine mount bolts? But most importantly, anyone have ones over 100k miles (stock intake exhaust no reflash)?

[OC] Got my 2026 KLX 230 on 25th Nov and faced a major engine failure not even a year in with my bike now being stuck at the SC for ages. Here's a call for help, what can I actually do about this or there's no way out and all i gotta do is sit and wait?
