Ivan's airbox mods done, DNA filter, evap system removal, P3 remap, O2 sensor delete, PAIR system delete ...

Finally rides like it should've from the factory. No snatchy on/off throttle response, no harsh engine braking, linear power delivery and no lumpy low revs when cruising.

If anyone is hesitating about getting the fueling sorted with a remap, do it. Best money you'll spend on the bike.

At home / open source flashing options

Hi all, as title, are there any DIY free or open source ECU flashing options for Kawasaki, specifically a Z900RS (2022)?

Looking for resources and pointers. Google is shit.

Secure motorbike parking city centre?

Ey up. Anyone know any good, secure, motorbike parking in the city centre?

Q-Park have Piccadilly Gardens but can't find other secure parking that accepts motorbikes.

Cheers

I'm out

I know when I've won. The AI shares are too sketchy. The talk on the ground doesn't live up to the hype. I've sold up everything, and will see where the hysteria dips to in a month.

Might buy back in when the inevitable 30% drop hits.

A safe index fund for a bit I think next.

Voight 30mm+25mm riser

Forums suggested some cables would be too short but mine don't seem to be an issue even with the primary yoke stems flipped 180.

I feel like I'm missing something as people with risers with no offset experience short cables. My rise and offset is quite large, but my cables seem fine.

For my short arms it feels much more comfortable.

Webstorm import path auto-complete (not auto import) annoyance

Hi all,

Setting aside the confusing choices going on between TypeScript/tsc and Node regarding import path specifiers ...

If I am using TypeScript in WebStorm and I am writing out an import statement, the suggestions are all `.ts` files that might follow the partial path. For example if I type:

import foo from "#src/path/to

The editor might suggest "#src/path/to/script.ts"however I actually want "'#src/path/to/script.js"

Is this configurable?

Note: My preference (unrelated to WebStorm) would be .ts extensions in imports, however when using path aliases they're not relative and therefore not rewritten to .js extensions. My second preference would be extensionless imports which TypeScript handles fine, but Node enforces extensions in ESM. So the least-worst option is to just write .js extensions in my imports and treat TypeScript as it is, a build-time annotation of JavScript with types. The import auto-generation has an "always use .js extensions" option, but the path completion always shows ".ts" as the path auto-complete, which is making me incorrectly add ".ts" paths everywhere. It's annoying.

Kawasaki use the same indicators across most of their range. I don't think they're in-keeping with the style of the Z900RS.

I looked at different bullet indicators, but most were too small.

The nicest I saw were on a Triumph T120 (and they're the same across different Triumph modern classics).

Seeing as I have a Japanese bike in England it seemed fitting to fit the Triumph indicators to the Z900RS. A bit of re-wiring and 3D printing and they look amazing!
