Got a new request which involved medication injection. Everything looked great at surface level, great convo, about to arrange a meet & greet when I realized I had forgotten to ask one of my screener questions: are your pets up to date on their vaccines and preventatives? Conversation suddenly changed. All animals in the house at “one point” were vaccinated but like, you know, things happen and they aren’t. None of these animals are vaccinated for rabies. I’m shooketh. Plus, the liability of injury from a stranger giving an animal medication. Like, do I really want to get rabies for some cash. Reminder to ask the obvious questions about the obvious. Duuuuuuudes. Insanity.
