Honor Game Manager overlay switches from FPS to Hz when connected to Internet? (MagicOS)

Hello everyone,

I am noticing a very strange behavior with the Honor Game Manager app on my device running MagicOS, and I want to know if this is a bug or an intended feature.

  1. When I launch a game completely OFFLINE (Internet is turned off):

The overlay successfully shows the real-time frame rate as "fps" (e.g., fluctuating around 61 fps), and it tracks the performance accurately.

  1. When I launch the same game ONLINE (Wi-Fi or Mobile Data connected):

The overlay reloads to display the network ping (e.g., 350ms), but the frame counter completely changes from showing "fps" to showing "Hz" (locked at 60Hz), and it stops tracking the actual game engine frames.

I tried to go to Settings -> Apps -> Game Manager -> Data Usage to restrict Wi-Fi access for the app so I can force it to stay offline, but MagicOS has grayed out the Wi-Fi option for system apps (I can only disable Mobile Data, as shown in the screenshots).

Is there any workaround to force the Game Manager to show the actual "fps" while playing online? Or is this a hardcoded restriction by Honor to save CPU overhead during online gaming?

I have attached screenshots showing the difference between the offline (fps) and online (Hz) status, along with the network restriction screen.

Thanks in advance! My phone honor x9c
