Laptop Return Advice

Hello, I recently purchased a Lenovo Ideapad Slim 3x from the Lenovo website for $634. Shortly after purchasing, I found it on Amazon for $545 in used - Like New condition, sold by Amazon Resale. I was going to keep the cheaper Amazon laptop at first, but part of me is now thinking I should keep the brand new one from the Lenovo website to be safe, even if it is $90 more. Especially since Lenovo provides a 1 year warranty that I would not be receiving via Amazon.

I guess my question is, what are your experiences with buying Used - Like New things on Amazon, and if you were in my shoes, what would you do? I am torn.

MacBook Air M4 or Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3 Snapdragon?

Hello! My MacBook Pro 2018 laptop just broke and I am searching for a replacement. I was going to go with another Apple laptop, but was turned off by how expensive they are nowadays (over $1000s).

For context, I am a teacher, and mainly use my laptop to continue my work at home (all on Google Drive), as well as for general productivity and entertainment like email writing, Netflix, etc. i don’t code nor game on my laptop (have a console for that) and do not anticipate doing so in the future. I do not rely on Apple software for any services aside from iMovie, though I read that there is similar software on Windows(?)

I am mainly looking for something inexpensive with a good battery life, solid build (lasting more than 5 years) and quick software (little lag time) for home productivity. What i like about the Lenovo to is that it has all the ports I need (my MacBook only had USBC).

So far, everyone has been suggesting the MacBook despite all this, saying it is the industry standard for home productivity and build quality. They also said it will be harder to connect to things with a Windows tablet for screen mirroring/pairing.

What are your thoughts? I am torn.
