Ordered this from Costco. Seemed like a good deal that will meet my needs for an MBA program.
I am starting an MBA program catered for mid to senior level professionals this fall, which is a hybrid program will require about 5+ weeks of on-site instruction spread out over the course of a year.
The program requires a student-purchased laptop with admin privelages. I work in cybersecurity, so I have both a company-issued laptop (no admin privelages) and a "field work" laptop (basically a $6k+ souped-up gaming laptop with admin privelages).
However, I wanted my own laptop specificly to use for this MBA program. After extensive research, I decided a Lenovo ThinkPad would best meet my needs for an MBA program, specifically the ruggedness, portability, battery life, it's the best fit for the tasks I will be doing, etc.
I ordered this one from Costco. It seemed like a pretty good deal. I went to the Lenovo website and built out the same model to the Costco specs, and it came out to about $2500. So, this seemed like a pretty good deal to me. Costco also extends the warranty to 2 years and has a 90 day return policy.
What do you guys think. It's already shipped and on its way. Was it a good buy?
