It's just one year old. And all the updates are also installed. Few days back it fell from my bed but nothing much happened it was working fine. But I have observed whenever I'm doing any work when several tabs are open it gets heated and suddenly shuts down why is it happening 😭😭 pls helpp

I've personally seen 2 examples of motherboard failure in Lenovo laptops of my friends, let's assume that might just be bad luck so...

Would you recommend me Lenovo if I wanna buy one? (motobook 60 pro to be specific) yeah they are related to lenovo

So i installed CachyOS in my IdeaPad 3 15ADA05

I accidentally turned on secure boot with uefi which made it to lock and showing me security violation

The f2 doesn't wanna load to bios

The novo button works and taking to bios setups lands me to the bios menu back

The bios menu shows but it's useless like the app menu I can't see anything and I don't know how do I load it to BIOS

this is the laptop I currently own purchased in July 2026, it clearly says Microsoft 365 Basic + Office 2024, while the Microsoft 365 Basic is in use currently, my MS Office still say 2021. (image below)

System completely hangs a few seconds after hotplugging. Nothing is responsive. TTY doesn't open. After unplugging the monitor the hang still happens. It got to the point where it froze on SDDM. GRUB rescue doesn't open either. Only a force restart works. Liveboot surprisingly works. The only fix I did was reinstalling the system.

At first I thought this was a DE specific error, but this happened both on Niri and Plasma. Checking journalctl doesn't show anything relevant (perhaps it got killed before logging anything?) It wasn't a thermal issue either (stable 50°).

I landed on the assumption that this could be a drivers bug at this point. I also see that people who has a similar problem on the same iGPU I use fixed it by disabling PSR. I haven't tested kernel params yet, need to know if anyone has a similar problem and a fix for it.

I watched a couple of youtube tutorials, and in everyone it looks like the guy is pulling from the wires. Other videos caution not to unplug by pulling on the wires, but i just cant get a good grip on the root of the plug.

I tried some tools to try and push the plug out, but there's not much to catch on and it just slipped off (also the board has a little give to it, which makes this difficult).

Should i just yank it by the wires?

This is mostly meant to fill a gap of knowledge I found while doing Research.

For context, I bought a Yoga 7 2-in-1 14AGP11 for college and they offered to bundle it in with its included pen (Lenovo yoga pen 2) which I initially refused.

Later on I actually was interested in getting a pen, but there were none in stock in my area, plus the pen is pretty pricey at the moment due to how new it is.

This led me down a rabbit whole of finding out what alternatives I could use for my laptop.

When doing research for what Stylus work for my laptop I bought a Lenovo Active Capacity Pen because it was cheap and it was also a Lenovo stylus, so it should've worked.

When I got this pen, it worked on the laptop surprisingly. The only issue was that it was extremely buggy, it would draw lines all over the screen, It would sometimes just not draw at all, and it was very inconsistent. But, the pen was recognized by the laptop, and it even appeared within the Lenovo pen app.

Although I got a "working" pen I wanted something that was actually better. So I did some research using AI. I had them find what other pens would be compatible with my Laptop. Come to find out, Gemini, Copilot and ChatGPT didn't think any other pen Besides the Lenovo Yoga Pen 2 would be compatible with my Lenovo Yoga. Copilot didn't believe any other pen could work, Chat was unsure, and Gemini just said "maybe". I did my own research using Lenovo's website and Q&A section. They were pretty old and outdated with nothing useful.

After some time, I compared Stylus's within the Lenovo website and none of them said they worked on a single platform so I gambled and got myself a Lenovo Digital Pen 3.

Come to find out after the purchase, this pen was mostly designed for the tablets Lenovo makes, and it would be a gamble if it even worked on my Lenovo Yoga.

When I finally got the pen, it worked perfectly fine, with no issues at all.

This is because of the Pen Drivers that Lenovo has for the Lenovo Yoga.

As long as the pen uses AES drivers, it will work, and be recognized by the laptop, while it may not be perfect, it will get the job done for the most part.

So if you are wanting to know if a Stylus will work on your laptop, I recommend checking if you have drivers installed for a Stylus. Ensure your laptop has touchscreen and the capability for Universal Stylus Initiative (USI) Drivers, Wacom WinTab Drivers, Wacom AES (Active Electrostatic) Drivers, (Which is what Lenovo uses), Microsoft Pen Protocol (MPP) / N-Trig Drivers and Windows Ink API.

Hey I have a lenovo loq 15arp10e laptop, I bought it new about 2-3 months ago.

Out of nowhere now it will not turn on no mattwr how long I hold the power button and It keeps flashing white evey like 3 seconds.

Can someone help me? This is my school laptop and I truly dont have enough money at the moment to bring it to repair shop or to buy a new one fpr school...
