I thought it would be a good idea to flash my Thinkpad x220 bios FROM my Thinkpad x220. The new bios chip should be here by this Wednesday
I have an old Lenovo Rescuer laptop with Rtx 960m. I use this on my work and light gaming purposes. I can't find any videos on YouTube regarding the disassembly of this laptop. I want to clean the fans and put some thermal paste on the gpu and the cpu.
Hello, Can this be fixed?
I was wondering if i should bring this to a technician myself or fix it myself?
Thinkpad hing so tight it broke my screen and frame. Cant afford replacement screen so i decided to do this
I’m thinking of buying a bunch of new parts and refurbishing this thing so I can use it as a Linux computer or something, but I’m wondering if I should just get like a t430 or something instead
hello reddit, i hope i am in the right place for this but. my hinge is OUT of the laptop right now and i can not put it back in.
is there at home ways to fix this? how much would a repair cost at one of those shops? i really can't let this thing die. had it since 2022 but idk the exact ideapad model, sorry
I had an argument with my ex while she was high. While I was away, she damaged my ThinkPad T14 Gen 1 (Type 20S1S3B00F)
The display panel is broken, but my bigger concern is that she also ripped out the Wi-Fi antenna cables that run alongside the display assembly.
I connected an external monitor and ran an speed test and the wifi speed has gotten so low that it can't even play a YouTube video without stuttering.
This is my travel laptop, so reliable Wi-Fi is important to me. Has anyone repaired or replaced the antenna assembly on a T14 Gen 1 before?
Do I need to replace the entire display assembly, or can the antennas be replaced separately?
My grandma broke my laptop, what part should I order? Top cover? Because from what I see- the only parts that broke is connections of Hinges to the body itself
Thinkpad X1C 7th gen - monitor and text graying - help please
The brother of the previous owner sat on it, breaking the hinges holding the screen. It bends 20° solely by air. It works but it’s annoying and the plastic keeps popping off while the hinge works itself INTO the screen if not bent properly. What would you do? 🏂
I had to come up with SOMETHING and this stolen monitor from 20/30 years ago had to do...
So I have a Lenovo loq i5 4050
I was trying to clean the fans and was trying to open the back panel of the laptop it was my first time doing so idk what happened exactly but one side's holder broke and now i am very worried about what to do, it's been about 2 months since this happened because when I closed the back panel it got support from the other points so there was no wobble or loose parts but I'm still worried will it affect the warranty, any advise on what to do next, it would be great help
I kinda just played Frisbee with it and threw it around in a park. No damage anywhere inside, and I'm using it to write rn.
