I was gone at work today and when I got home my PC was fully on and logged in on the home screen. I shut it down as usual last night when I stopped gaming. It was fully shut down, I press the "shut down" button on the windows button in the bottom left. This morning when I left for work it was not on. It has a sleep setting where if it hasnt been on in the last hour or so it turns the screen off but the PC box itself stays lit up, meaning it was turned on within the last hour or two before i got home. I would have understood if it was just on the lock screen but it was on the home screen which i thought was only accessible with a pin input. The door was locked and the house was undisturbed, no one knows my pin either. If anyone has any clue what could have happened id really appreciate it.

I have a wireless headset with a microphone that can't be detached. I use the headset mainly for audio, but it agitates me when Windows lowers my volume when I play a multiplayer game or I am speaking to someone online.

I've tried doing a bunch of stuff on Sound Panel (changing settings in the Recordings section and disabling Exclusive Mode in my headset's Properties tab), but yet my audio keeps getting reduced.

I've also tried changing Voice settings in both Steam and Discord (which are meant to stop audio volume from decreasing), but yet nothing changes.

Windows does stop reducing volume when I disable the mic altogether. However, I want to use both the headset audio and microphone simultaneously without my audio becoming lower in quality.

I've heard that having your sound input and output device as the exact same device can cause my exact issue. But I still want a clean solution.

Are there any settings that I haven't mentioned that could potentially fix my issue? If not, is there any bit of software I can download that can fix my audio issue?

Basically im trying to play this game that was only sold on cd or dvd idk but uh its expensive and modern computers dont have that so luckily there was exactly one twitter post mentioning the game(there were also like 2 japanese blogs about it from years ago that werent helpfull) and from some person in the comments i got a link to a site they owned ti play the game. So after that i managaed to play it and uhhhh i firgit about it eventhough it took me like 20 whole hours to fix the game and make it playable (it had corrupted and missing files and my computer couldnt read it and everything just took a while cus im bad at tech)

So today i decided to try and finish this game and uhhh i tried to play it on my old computer that i originally downloaded on and it didnt start.... so i was like "damn whatever this computer sucks anyways lemme try to fix it on my better computer that also sucks" so i copied all the files to my other computer with a usb stick and now i have this (translated from japanese) when i try to open the exe file

So i changed my region locale cus there were ither errors in giberish and last time doing that fixed it but this time it didnt and i have a japanese language pack downloaded too and i did the sfc scannow thing

When i got my laptop 3 yrs ago, the guy how setup my laptop split the 512 ssd in to 2 separate folders (230 gb+ 244 gb), and put windows into the 230gb folder

Now my folder only has 29.5gb of storage left, 60gb of that space is being taken by the appdata folder,

I found another reddit post asking the same question as me, and it says that i shouldn't transfer the folder but, that post is 9 yrs old, so im here to ask abt it

I want to transfer the appdata folder from the users folder in the windows ssd drive, to the other 244gb drive

Im scared that there want be any space left in my windoes ssd after some time

I wanted to plug in my headphones.The button is right next to the usb port and i accidently pressed it while i was also playing roblox. Is there any way that my system gets corrupted because of this shit?When i pressed it,it restarted my pc said updates are underway then opened.I also found a The previous system shutdown at 8:20:12 PM on ‎10/‎11/‎2026 was unexpected. in event viewer. Nothing looks wrong for now but should i be worried,just reinstalled windows because my files we re corrupted

Since a month a had a problem in my ssd which I can't open the files on it, I can only see the folder and when I try to open it shows "a device which doesn't exist was specified".

I tried so many ways to fix it and failed, when opening Bios it shows normally and when start-up the laptop it shows also but I can't access them.

One of the things that happen is when I go to disk management and use the action -rescan- it disappears!

Before that it shows normal and healthy but after rescan it disappears.

I have the same SSD for a year and few months, thats the first time it happens.

Any Solutions??

*Laptop model is Asus TUF F15

*SSD is Kingston nvme2 1tb

Hey everyone, I’m having some frustrating issues with my PC and would appreciate some help figuring out what’s causing them.

My PC specs:

* CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 8700G

* Motherboard: Gigabyte B650M

* RAM: 32GB DDR5 6000MHz (2x16GB)

* GPU: Integrated Radeon graphics (no dedicated GPU yet)

Here’s what’s happening:

I’ve been playing some games like ds3, lol and genshin and all the games randomly crashes. Sometimes the game simply closes, while other times it crashes without restarting the entire PC.

Things I’ve tried so far:

* Checked my RAM configuration in the BIOS. XMP Profile 1 was enabled, and I switched to EXPO Profile 1 because I’m using an AMD CPU.

* Turned off and reseated the RAM sticks to clean them and swapped their positions.

* Updated my AMD chipset drivers.

* Ran sfc /scannow in Command Prompt as administrator. It found corrupted Windows files but reported that it couldn’t repair some of them.

* Tried running chkdsk, but I encountered an “Access denied” error, even when running Command Prompt as administrator.

After updating the chipset drivers, the game crashed and closed without restarting the entire PC. Sometime after that i tried again and it restarted.

I’m now wondering whether the problem could be caused by unstable RAM, corrupted Windows system files, a storage drive issue, or something else entirely. Also appeared some ''kernel-power 41'' error, i tried to use some AI help and found a bugcheck code 314 in the details. Thanks for any advice

I converted handwritten text to my computer on a PDF. Now I need to convert that text to a document you can edit. My handwriting is so messy even I have trouble reading it. So I hope a computer can do better.

long story short, my steam icon deleted itself this morning, and i tried to replace it by going to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam and bringing the steam.exe file back onto my home screen, though i believe i moved it to desktop without thinking that it would impact anything.

well it definitely did! i tried to load up nms/any other steam game and a warning said the "files did not exist," so i opened up the steam.exe file i moved to desktop and now all the background files and everything are all over my screen. please help me fix this :( both how to get the files off the main screen without deleting anything, and how to get the actual steam icon back that's not this messed up one i accidentally made 🥹

please have patience with me and/or explain it to me like im five, im not very good with tech, thank you!!!
