Signal from display port is stuck in 4x3 but hdmi is normal

I’m not sure why but my display port on my pc won’t let me change the resolution. It’s a new monitor and changing resolution on it doesn’t work either. Both hdmi and display port are plugged into the gpu. Also the pc is running on Ubuntu

Any suggestions?
Thanks

Trouble with internet speed

I've just upgraded my computer today, and while my old one used to consistently get 100+ Mbps download speeds, I am currently unable to get any faster than ~15. I've installed all possible driver updates.

SOLVED: Turn off and on 2.4ghz connection on the router

GPU Fan going max RPM when entering WoT

GPU : MSI VENTUS 2X BLACK OC GeForce RTX 4060 8 GB

If anything else was needed tell me

Besides that, basically titile. As soon as I turn on World of Tanks GPU goes to max RPM on fans. I tried reinstalling (I used both Steam and WGC version), tried lowering settings (antyaliasing wored best, but still not perfect), tried to update drivers and installed 3rd party software for fans (which i uninstalled already since it didnt help)

I'm not that great of a PC guy, but I'm sure it wasnt like that before. Now I cant play without headset beacuse it sounds like its mining bitcoing or something.

Settings :

-windowed without border

-vsync enabled

-dynamic 3d rendering enabled

-all main ones (antyaliasing, textures, objects and rendering distance) to max

-rest to minimum/off

Any help?

Problem with the driver for the wifi adapter

Hi, I was experiencing issues with my network with a secured connected network but no internet. Stupid me decided to ask ai for help and i followed a few steps to try solve the issue:

Command prompt as admin

Ipconfig /release

Ipconfig /renew

Ipconfig /flushdns

Netsh winsock reset. I then restarted immediately after.

When my laptop restarted, I now dont see a wifi or bluetooth option in the taskbar. Looking at Network Connections, my Intel(R) Wireless-AC 9560 160Mhz is enabled, however when I diagnose it says Windows couldn't automatically bind the IP protocol stack to the network adapter.

Also looking at events in the devices properties, I have apparently done 'device deleted', then ' device configured (oem37.inf)'.

I am using windows 10. Is this in any way recoverable? I cannot test with an ethernet cable and I don't know much about networking. Will i have to recover my laptop to a previous save/state(preferrably not) or is there another solution? Have I destroyed my device entirely? (I hope not)

Any help is appreciated

Btw to clarify, I can see flight mode on my taskbar but there's no wifi or bluetooth. Please let me know if you have any questions.

Idk what happened

So today I got my new 32gb CL30 of DDR5 ram. My old ram was 16gb CL38 of DDR5. I installed the new ram by turning off my computer like I always do, unplugged it and installed the ram waiting for the clicks of approval. I boot my PC on, all the RGB is on, fans running but no display. I figure it’s the ram so I install my old 16gb back in just to check and same thing, no display. I remove the CMOS battery in my motherboard and put it back in and still, no display. Idk what happened. My motherboard is a ASUS B650E Max Wifi Gaming W so it doesn’t have debug LEDs. Did the ram fry my motherboard or am I just missing something? Please help 🙏

RealView compatible GPUS

Recently built my own PC to move away from laptops, however I do miss RealView as it’s not enabled with my gaming focused card. I spent the last several years modeling with it and got used to having it enabled so I would like it back.

I’m looking to decide on a compatible GPU that I can run solidworks with to reenable RealView. Going back to my laptop isn’t viable as it’s dying and I’d prefer to have an all-in-one.

I do have space available on the motherboard and on the PSU so I’m hoping to just plug and play. I have seen “tricks” to get it working on non certified machines but I’d rather not use those methods.

Massive Stuttering/FPS Drops (35 AVG, 65 1% Lows) whenever Discord is open in the background (Ryzen 7800X3D + RTX 4080 Super)

Hey everyone,

I’m dealing with a frustrating, system-wide performance issue that is severely affecting my gameplay, and I desperately need some help.

The Problem:

Whenever Discord is running in the background, I experience massive FPS drops and micro-stutters across multiple games.

In Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, my benchmark shows a loss of 35 FPS in AVG and a devastating drop of 65 FPS in my 1% Lows.

I also noticeably feel these heavy stutters in lighter games like Rocket League.

The moment I completely close Discord via Task Manager, everything instantly returns to normal (e.g., Black Ops 7 runs perfectly at 268 AVG FPS with stable ~245 1% Lows). I never had this issue before.

My Hardware:

CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D

GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 Super

RAM: 32GB DDR5

OS: Windows 11 (latest update)

What I have already tried (and did NOT work):

Discord Tweaks: Turned off Hardware Acceleration, disabled the In-Game Overlay entirely, and turned off H.264 Hardware Acceleration.

Discord Voice Settings: Changed the Audio Subsystem to "Legacy" and disabled Advanced Voice Activity.

Discord Logging: Turned off Debug Logging.

Windows Audio: Unchecked "Allow applications to take exclusive control of this device" for both my headset and mic.

System Settings: Game Mode is ON, HAGS is ON, and power plan is set to High Performance. Shaders have been completely re-cached.

Since it happens across totally different game engines (COD IW Engine vs. Rocket League's Unreal Engine), it feels like Discord is creating a deep scheduling or audio thread conflict with my 7800X3D when minimized.

Has anyone with a similar AM5 / Ryzen X3D setup encountered this global Discord background resource leak or conflict? Are there any hidden registry fixes, chipset driver issues, or specific audio driver workarounds for this?

Thanks a lot for any advice!

The image turns green or pixelated since the new CPU (AMD Ryzen 5 3400G) with integrated graphics was installed.

Two days ago, I upgraded my CPU from an AMD A8-9600 to a Ryzen 5 3400G. Nothing was broken; I installed it normally and used the pre-applied thermal paste. When I first started the PC, I got a normal display—seeing the ASUS logo and so on—and managed to reach the Windows login screen. Then, suddenly, the screen went black. I restarted, and the screen turned green. I’ve tried everything over the last two days. I actually managed to get it running normally once after updating the BIOS from version 4801 to 6254, but the driver kept timing out after I’d been gaming for 30–60 minutes. Then I tried increasing the VRAM allocation to 2GB and changing the display settings; the issues returned—including pixelation and a green screen (if I got a picture at all). I’ve tried everything: a clean Windows install, DDU, the AMD cleanup utility, deleting drivers via Device Manager, updating the BIOS again, removing and reinserting the motherboard battery, and taking out one stick of RAM. Nothing worked. I’m completely out of ideas. I’m still having these problems: Safe Mode works perfectly, and the BIOS is fine. Sometimes I can boot into normal Windows with a display, but it crashes after a few minutes—it starts flickering and then crashes. Could someone please help me?
