Higher GPU OR processor

What to choose between these. Same price, but the only difference is one has a higher gpu rtx 5050 i5 and the other one is rtx 4050 i7. I'll be using it for gaming and creative softwares rendering and editing. Also.. intel or ryzen?

HELP MEMTEST 86 (what is it for?)

I was getting tons of BSOD the past few months so I ran a memory diagnostic. It detected hardware issues, now IT suggests to run memtest 86. (haven't done the memtest yet) I just want to know what would be the next step if it does pinpoint the error? Is it possible to have my old ram fixed or am I gonna have to buy a new one nonetheless? idk what's the memtest is for if it's gonna tell me I have a broken ram... which I kinda already know from the memory diagnostic? Enlighten me pls

Vanguard won't install. Riot logs show BAD_DECRYPT error. Anyone seen this before?

I've been stuck on this for days. VALORANT installs fine, but Riot Vanguard never installs. The Riot Client shows Update for about 30–60 seconds, then goes back to Play. vgc doesn't exist, there's no Riot Vanguard folder, and I get VAN-83.

I already tried:

  • Fresh Windows 10 reinstall
  • Reinstalled Riot Client and VALORANT multiple times
  • No third-party antivirus
  • Tested both RAM sticks individually
  • Same Wi-Fi installs VALORANT fine on my laptop

The Riot logs always end with:

Dependency vanguard failed to install:

Error downloading third-party dependency:

BoringSSL SSL_read: ... BAD_DECRYPT

Vanguard phase transition: Download -> Failed

Has anyone encountered this exact BAD_DECRYPT error or found a fix? Any ideas would be appreciated.

BSOD'd halfway through reinstalling valorant and VANGUARD NOT installing

I've been getting disconnected while playing VALORANT and constantly receiving "corrupted game files" errors, so I decided to do a clean reinstall of both VALORANT and the Riot Client.

During the installation, my PC suddenly BSOD'd. After rebooting, the installation continued, but Vanguard never installed. Instead, the Riot Client shows an Update button. When I click it, it says it's updating for a few seconds, then the button changes back to Play even though Vanguard is still missing. Launching the game just gives me VAN -83 because Vanguard isn't installed.

I've already tried reinstalling VALORANT and the Riot Client multiple times, repairing the client, and cleaning up leftover files, but nothing has worked.

Has anyone experienced BSODs while installing VALORANT or Vanguard? If so, what ended up being the cause or fix?
