What to choose between these. Same price, but the only difference is one has a higher gpu rtx 5050 i5 and the other one is rtx 4050 i7. I'll be using it for gaming and creative softwares rendering and editing. Also.. intel or ryzen?

I’m buying my boyfriend a ps5 for Christmas, but I need to buy him a monitor aswell and I need help! I’m absolutely clueless (the only “gaming” I do is the sims lol)
The ps5 model I’ve found to be the best fit would be ps5 slim 1TB console, from what I’ve gather he can play digital and disk games with this one.
However I’m lost when it comes to picking a monitor, from my research I’ve learned I need hdmi 2.1 and 1440p (no clue what these mean, correct me if I’m wrong) I’m looking for something 27”-32”, curved and that meets the requirements. I’m looking to stay around $300 but I’m willing to go higher in price if I need too. Can someone give recommendations, and maybe some advice on what more to look for. I want him to have the best gaming experience. Thank you!

I know absolutely nothing about gaming, PCs, but I would like to buy one for my husband for Christmas. Unfortunately, due to budget restrictions. It looks like a used one would be my best bet. I had a rant tonight where I started asking ChatGPT weird things about if they would ever consider permadeath and stuff and she basically covered for the swarm so I started asking some other dumb questions about where her voice comes from and why she sounds so human. She basically admitted that AI voices do use VA’s but they can’t disclose who the voice actors are for security reasons.
Anyways, this led to me asking about the most secure methods of backing up my digital accounts and inquiring about security keys since I had no idea what they are. I talked about VPN’s for a while as well and decided I probably don’t need one since I don’t travel a lot.
Cue my PS5 going into rest mode while I’m having a tangent with ChatGPT and I say to my gf, “did my PS go into rest mode?” And ChatGPT starts telling me stuff I already know about my PS5 because I forgot to put HER(Maple [AI name]) and on mute. So I ask her to shut up and tell me something about my PS5 I do not know about. So she tells me a few things I already know but then goes on to tell me I can expand the storage of my PS5. I look into the prices of a 1 TB hard drive and HOLY SMOKES!
$179-$220 extra for 1 TB SSD to add to my PS5?! I IMMEDIATELY considered selling my Spider-Man PS5 and building a PC with the trade-in value from it. I originally wanted to supplement the sale of my Spider-Man PS5 on eBay with $200 extra. ChatGPT claims eBay prices for the Spider-Man 5 PS5 can range from $450-$600 with the controller which I have.
So $800 if I can sell the Spider-Man for $600. Then I asked ChatGPT to make some alterations for me. To find a case/tower I can tinker with and always have room for bigger parts in the future. I also asked her to optimize the GPU, CPU, and RAM, and this is what she came up with for a little over a $1,000. Any other fellow nerds out there that specialize in building PC’s that would like to chime in a scrutinize ChatGPT’s build or pick apart what is wrong with it? I would love to build a PC but I know you can’t always rely on AI to get everything right. Please 🙏 from one gaming nerd to another, I need help creating my first PC and I have to do it in a budget friendly manner and I need the master race to help me here! idk how to tell you all about it but during this senior year i feel like I'm losing the interest in gaming and PCs (my dad will buy one after finishing this year)
it all started last year after finishing i was telling myself that ill finish rdr2 and re village and many other games and play all day in multiplayer games and then loneliness hits me (cuz i don't have any friends) and it feels boring rn that i don't have anyone to have fun with cuz I've realized its about the person not the game itself
and since I've mentioned that my dad will buy one im afraid that buying pc will be a waste of money for my dad cuz itll be sitting on the desk like a vase and i really don't want that its been my dream to have a good pc and switch from consoles to pc
like ...... idk should i take the risk and buy one even tho the fact that im lonely and ill be getting bored so fast?
