Found a rare Miele C3 electro in the UK!

Whilst I know this sub is largely made up of our transatlantic chums for whom Mieles with powered floor heads are the norm, over here in the UK and Europe they are extremely difficult to find. I've had an alert set up on eBay for years and to my surprise one popped up the other day so I bought it!

From the listing it looked like it had been misused, and on arrival it was pretty bad. The photos are after giving it a quick clean but the state of the filter (scroll through the pics) should show just how bad it was. I will be taking it apart in due course to give it a proper clean. I did turn it on very very briefly and the motor works and surprisingly doesn't sound rough, although it was spitting out dust so it's clearly dirty in there.

I've also managed to score a used electric wand so that'll be coming soon. I then need to get an electric hose and floor head and I'll be set. I am hoping that these might come up used, but if not these are available as new parts in the UK, albeit they are rather expensive. Obviously I haven't been able to check whether the vacuum will actually work to power the floor head but once these parts arrive I'm hopeful that it will.

The vacuum was £110, the wand £45. A new hose would be £280 and SEB 236 floor head £175. So unless those parts come up used I would be all in for £610. I think given the rarity of these vacuums over here I'd be ok with that, but Ideally I would find used examples of the hose and floor head.
