M2 Pro Doused with Water... Time for Upgrade?

Hey all!

So I had the very mispleasure of trying to take a sip from my water bottle - only to realize I hadn't screwed the lid on properly and for it to promptly spill ALL OVER my M2 Pro :/. It's completely on me and I have to deal with my own idiocy for the rest of my life.

Anyways now that the sob story is done, off to the real question. IN CASE the M2 Pro is dead (seems like it is as the battery isn’t charging…) when I boot it back up in 48h - trying to figure out what upgrade I should be looking towards. (Keep in mind, I have not had a single issue with this laptop since I've owned it from 2021? 2022?) I need a pro as I do 4k video editing on it (sometimes multi-cam edits with 3, 4k cameras on simultaneously.) and the M2 Pro with 16gb of ram handled it well. Truly my only complaint with the laptop was visibility outdoors, but I may as well use this as an opportunity to see what I should upgrade to. Knowing this info what would you recommend as an upgrade? A open-box M4 Pro with 24gb ram? New M5 with the nano-texture display? I don't mind buying used (so long I know it'll be good quality). I would love to spend under $2500CAD if possible, but then again this is something I use everyday so if it's a couple hundred extra and it's going to be a big difference, I'll suck it up.

Thank you!!
