I guess this has been talked about before but I’m really not a fan of Olivia Dean’s cover of the Dress. When I hear Dijon’s, I hear a vulnerable and intimate voice that feels heavy. Bittersweet regret and yearning that we can all relate to. But with Olivia’s (and she’s definitely a talented artist), there’s no soul in it. She’s just performing. Maybe it’s the acoustics but it just sucks the life out of what’s such a raw song. Idk does anyone else feel this way??
